Lush Review: Cinders

Good Morning Everyone!
Last night, I had a bath using one of my Christmas 2010 Bath Ballistics called Cinders which is actually a re release as it was also available in 2009.  Its a gorgeous canary yellow colour with red popping candy on the top.  Size wise, it is quite a small compared to some other Lush bath ballistics but the quality is fantastic.  It was a lower price than some of the other bath ballistics too, retailing at £1.95.  Lush are having a 50% off sale in store at the moment so if you're quick, you may still be able to get one of these.
Wow.  This bath ballistic is just gorgeous.  I bought it because I was intrigued when I read that it was supposed to mimic a crackling fire and it really does smell like a burning fire.  The scent is quite smokey, very spicy but without being overpowering and there is a lovely smell of cinnamon.  Although this is a Christmas bath ballistic, it actually reminds me of when I was at Brownie camp as a child and the smell of the camp fire we would have on an evening. Mmmm.

Lets see it in action.  This is my bath BEFORE I popped in Cinders.

When reading this review, and any of my other similar reviews, I think it is really important to note that I don't have an average sized bath.  The couple who lived in the house before us put this huge jacuzzi tub in that fits two people lying down, so it is huge!  This obviously effects the products that I put in the bath; i usually need to use a bit more bubble bath than most people and the effects of bath bombs, etc are less concentrated in my bath, you still get the overall effect but if something was supposed to turn your bath red, it would usually be a more diluted colour in my bath.  Just something to bare in mind that's all.

So I ran the bath and just before getting in and turning the water off, I popped in Cinders.  It instantly started to fizz really quickly and this bright yellow froth started to bubble on the top of the water.
The water started to turn yellow and Cinders kept on fizzing.  It lasted for a couple of minutes but at the noise it was fizzing at, it sounded as though it would be over and done with really quickly so I was happy when it wasn't.
I love the way this bath ballistic crackles like a fire and the smell intensifies as soon as it hits the water.  Fragrance wise, this is one of the best bath ballistics I have had from Lush.  The whole bathroom is literally filled with this gorgeous, spicy, fire burning, cinnamon smell. Mmm!
Right at the end of Cinders fizzing is when I heard the most crackling from the popping candy.  It really was like the popping candy I remember eating years ago... Willy Wonka chocolate with popping candy rings a few bells!  By the time I had finished taking a few snaps, all of my bath water had turned this light yellow colour which was pretty to look at but when I was actually in the bath, it made me feel a bit unclean.  It reminded me of when I travelled to Egypt and we stayed in the beautiful Ritz Carlton hotel.  The hotel was out of this world... but when I ran the bath, the water was a yellowy brown colour which really put me off.  That's really the only thing that I don't like about this bath ballistic as other than that, its perfect!
Have you tried Cinders?
