Club Tropicana

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo is now available in 400ml cans. This is possibly the best thing since sliced bread for dry shampoo lovers like me. Batiste Dry Shampoo is a must have this summer to banish oily roots and reviving your hair in between washes. I'm a big fan of Batiste as you all know!
This one is the gorgeous Tropical dry shampoo that has a gorgeous coconut and exotic fragrance. Although its available all year round, it is the perfect scent for summer. Mmmmmmm yum. I love my hair to smell nice but not artificial and sickly sweet and with Tropical dry shampoo I certainly don't get that. It leaves my hair fresh and fragranced without that fake sweet and fruity smell that some hair products have.
I adore the new Batiste packaging too, it makes the cans look like more of an expensive salon brand now. Plus the information on the back has changed slightly and shows images of how to use the dry shampoo which I think is great for people using dry shampoo for the first time. The new size ranges of 400ml for £4.99, the standard 200ml for £2.99 and the mini handbag sized 50ml for £1.55, make sure that theres a Batiste dry shampoo for everyone. So whether you're staying at home this summer, travelling abroad for a weeks holiday or going back packing around the world, there is a Batiste for you!
Batiste is great value for money and available from Superdrug, Boots, supermarkets like Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco, Savers, Wilkinsons, Lloyds Pharmacy, ASOS and Independent Pharmacies.

WhatLauraBought: Drugstore Beauty and Estee Lauder

Evening all!

Had a day off work today so I went for lunch and then a little bit of Fathers Day shopping at the Metro Centre.  Think I needed a little bit of time to myself to just relax and have a wander around.  Its been a hard week, as my house bunny Edward was put to sleep on Wednesday.  He wasn't too well at all and when i took him to the vets they said he wouldn't recover and that it would be best to put him to sleep. So hes gone to the bit hutch in the sky. RIP bunny Edward xxx

Its a Nice Day for a Royal Wedding!

Morning All :)

I received this dry shampoo in the post just before the royal wedding and have been using it ever since. I've literally just ran out of it this morning which I was quite impressed with as its lasted a long while, given that I use it more or less every day. If you are a regular reader of my blog then you'll already know how much I love Batiste and can hopefully trust my opinion on it, even though this was a PR sample provided for review. Put it this way- this is my new favourite dry shampoo and I've already bought another two as back up!

Presenting.... Batiste Brit!  Just look at the packaging; bold, bright and British.  This can looks so eye catching sitting on my dressing table.  Gone are the days when the Union Jack was considered tacky, after Ginger Spice paraded about in a Union Jack dress made out of a towel at the 1997 Brit Awards.  Ladies and Gentlemen, the Jack is officially back!
Batiste Brit- Quintessentially English
This is a relatively new offering from Batiste from their normal range of dry shampoos, and by normal I mean regular dry shampoo with a scent as they have released some coloured ones and some glittery versions in recent months.  The first thing that I noticed about Brit is the scent.  Whilst the other scented dry shampoos from Batiste smell lovely, they still smell like hair care products.  Brit however smells like more a fragrance than a scented product, its like a perfume.  It has a very British, quintessentially English smell that reminds me of perfumes made by British designers.  In actual fact, it really reminds me of Jack Wills.  Its absolutely gorgeous and definitely my favourite smelling dry shampoo from Batiste.

Smelling nice is all well and good but its the performance of the dry shampoo that really matters and Brit certainly lives up to my high expectations.

I swear by dry shampoo, I use it most days whether its to refresh my hair in between washes or to give it some volume.  This one by Batiste is great at removing excess oil from your hair and keeping it looking healthy but not greasy.  Since my hair is very oily, I even find that using this after I have just shampooed my hair is great to prevent my hair from becoming oily during the day.  Batiste is great on long or short hair and whether it is thick or thin it really can transform your hair.  I love it!
Batiste is available from all the usual places from Boots to Superdrug, ASDA to Morrisons, Body Care to B&M Home Bargains.  Its very affordable to buy and a hair care staple for just about everyone I'd say!

Have you tried Brit? Do you love the smell as much as I do?

WhatLauraWore: Mancunian Way

Happy Sunday Everyone

As I write this I am painfully hungover! I went out last night in Durham with the girls and had an awesome night, although I am paying for it now!  I'll post some pics of the outfit I wore later in the week as today I thought I'd show you the outfit I wore last weekend when I went out in Manchester.

I wanted something pretty but not too dressy and I must admit, the dress I chose to wear is something I would never normally go for.  I think I would usually be frightened of something so heavily patterned and bold but I love it.  Its great for a night out in England with the way I have styled it but it would also be perfect for when I go on holiday, with bare TANNED legs and pretty sandals.  Jewellery wise, I opted for gold as the colours in the tunic are warm toned.

WhatLauraWore
Multi Floral Print Tunic from Yours Clothing
Lace Trim Leggings in Black from Yours Clothing
Flower sandals in gold from Primark
Coral and gold studded clutch from River Island
Gold and Orange disc earrings from Muse
Leopard print and gold bangle from New Look
Gold glittery bangles from Primark
Gold leaf necklace from Muse

Couple of photos of my make up for the night. As always, I'm wearing false lashes to rival those on the cast of Geordie Shore, a smokey eye, light pink blush and a nude lip.

I love Manchester, its easily my favourite city in the UK.  My friend and I went shopping then for dinner in Old Orleans before hitting the hot spots!

Where are your favourite places to go on a night out? I'm always up for a girls weekend away so if you know of any great places to visit then please let me know!
