Over the last 18 months I've been making a conscious effort to use up the products that I already have rather than buying new ones and I've been doing pretty well. I'm certainly going through products a lot quicker than I used to as I'm focusing on using one of the same type of product at a time. I started doing an empties post and video similar to this last year and then got bored and found that I wasn't going through products quick enough on a monthly basis to warrant a post... plus I was useless at keeping them to one side as I hate mess and as soon as I finish a product I love the feeling of chucking away the empty bottle, sad I know! This last month I've finished quite a few products all within a close space of each other so I thought I would resurrect the empties post and do a mini review on each product.
Today, I thought I'd share some skincare empties from Estee Lauder and Klorane.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
I instagramed a picture of this earlier today and a few of you asked what it is like. Well, in a nut shell, it is bloody brilliant. Combined with a good cleanse and exfoliation routine and this serum works wonders for my skin. It leaves my skin soft, supple and looking young and damage free. This is the first of six mini sample sizes that I've got to get through before I repurchase the full size again, which I definitely will be doing, its awesome. A little goes a long way so I'm hoping it will run out as I'm boarding a plane this summer and I'll pick it up in duty free *clever lass*
Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Creme and Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Eye Creme
I got these two free from the Estee Lauder website when I ordered the full size versions. I thought it was a nice little touch as you get much more product in them than other samples and they're great for taking on holiday rather than decanting from the full size. The Re-Nutriv range is ridiculously expensive and probably aimed at skin much older than mine but it really is my guilty pleasure. The creams are thick and indulgent without being too heavy or leaving my skin clogged. It is absorbed quickly and keeps my skin soft and moist without leaving a film or making it greasy.
Klorane Eye Makeup Remover
This is my go to eye makeup remover and I have been repurchasing it for a good 9 months now, ever since I was sent it to review. You can read my original review here but to keep it short and sweet, it is incredibly gentle, not oily in the slightest and still manages to quickly remove all of my eye makeup, including MAC pigments, in a couple of sweeps with no rubbing involved at all. Since discovering Klorane, I'm really reluctant to try any other eye makeup remover... if it's not broke, why fix it?
Have you tired any of these products? Do let me know if you like these posts and I'll keep doing them, I think it's nice to get short mini reviews, do you?
