Sheer Cover Pressed Mineral Blush
|Sheer Cover Mineral Blush, £20.95 from www.sheercover.co.uk|
The Sheer Cover Pressed Mineral Blush is available in three shades; Pinched, Ginger and Plum Perfect and they are all perfect for day and evening wear. Unlike the mineral foundation from the line, the mineral blush comes in a pressed compact, which I personally prefer, and the compact has good sized mirror too making it perfect to carry in your handbag for on the go touch ups. I didn't think that these blushers would be very well pigmented but looks can be deceiving- they are very well pigmented and give a gorgeous flush of colour to the cheeks. They are applied best over the top of foundation. Sometimes when I have a tan in the summer, I like to just wear a sweep of powder on my face with a touch of blusher on my cheeks, however when I have tried this with these blushers, the colour can look patchy and uneven, at least on my skin. With that in mind, I'd recommend using them when wearing foundation which most people would do anyway. All of the colours are gorgeous and there is a shade for every skin tone. They all apply very smooth and even and are very long lasting, I find that the colour does not budge all day, even on my oily skin. I'd recommend applying the blusher using an angled blusher brush, mine is from the Keromask Professional Makeup Brush Kit.
|Sheer Cover blush in Pinched, £20.95 from www.sheercover.co.uk|
Pinched is a gorgeous pink shade that has a slight touch of coral and is perfect for all skin tones. It literally does look like your cheeks have been lightly pinched! Pinched has a gold shimmer to it which makes it act perfectly as a highlight too. I wore this blush on a night out recently when I went to watch a band play over the Jubilee weekend and a few of my friends complimented me on it!
This shade surprised me, I knew from looking at it in the pan that I would like it but I didn't realise how much I would love the shade until I actually applied it. Ginger is perfect for the summer and for those with warm toned hair or summer tanned skin. It is a gorgeous deep coral orange shade, extremely well pigmented and has a lovely golden shimmer to it, reminiscent of a bronzer, that acts as a highlight for the cheeks too.
In the pan, this shade looks gorgeous; it is a soft plum shade and is very matte. I find that it needs to be applied using a light hand as it is much more well pigmented than it looks in the pan. I found that out of all of the blushers, this is the shade that suited me the least, although I still love it, I just think the colour looks slightly like a bruise on my skin tone! I think that this would really suit those with cooler toned hair and skin. This blusher needs to be applied over foundation and powder as if you apply it to bare or just powdered skin then it applies quite patchy, other than that, it is a gorgeous application. I'd recommend wearing a highlighter with this one as it has not got any shimmer in it so you will still need something to highlight your cheek bones whereas Pinched and Ginger take care of this themselves.
