The Pomegranate range is my favourite from Weleda, alongside the citrus scented products. The Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion is the best of both worlds as it has a sharp, invigorating scent that is above all pomegranate, but also quite citrus fragranced. Its very awakening and because of that, I love to use it first thing on a morning as a bit of a pick me up.
The lotion itself is thicker than the majority of other body lotions I've tried but not as thick as a cream or body butter. It's a lovely consistency, very comforting on the skin and very white in colour... that may sound strange but I mean that it takes a little bit more work than other lotions to rub in and you can really feel it working while you're applying it. That said, it sinks into the skin pretty quickly and I can feel it (and smell the gorgeous scent) on my skin for hours after, in a nourishing way, not in a greasy film kind of way. My skin feels plumped up after using this; smooth, firm and renewed- that'll be down to the pomegranate which is typically used in products to generate cell renewal, making products like this body lotion excellent for anti ageing.
I'm all for prevention rather than cure and the formulation of this body oil with pomegranate seed oil, apricot kernal oil and shea butter, helps to do just that- prevent premature skin ageing, by stimulating cell renewal and protecting the skin from being damaged by external influences like the sun and pollution. This is a great one to take on holiday as your skin will soak it up after a day lying out in the sun.
The Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion is available for £21.95 from the Weleda website for a 200ml bottle.
