A Post for the Men in Your Life!

Hello Boyfriends, Brothers, Fathers and Gift Giving Guys

The time of the year has come when panic sets in and your wallet is on fire with the prospect of buying for that special lady in your life.  Am I right boys?

Have you ever had to ask your girlfriends mum what to buy her for Christmas?  Or what about asking her yourself?  Whilst she may get what she actually wants, there is no surprise in this for her.  So whether you've already got a gift in mind or you haven't got a clue where to start, AskHerFriends.com is here for you.

Did you know that last year, a massive 64% of women claimed that their best friend could have done a better job at getting them a gorgeous Christmas present than their fella did, well boys, let me tell you, you don't want to be that guy!  Now thats where AskHerFriends.com comes in, they're a website set up to ensure that you get the woman in your life something she'll really love by gaining the opinion and advice of those who know what she'd like to receive- her friends!  Think of them as a secret service, an online father Christmas if you like but this one doesn't come with elves and reindeer, just best friends and gorgeous gift suggestions.

Now boys, I'm not trying to say that you're useless at buying gifts, I know you're not but sometimes a friend can point you in a direction that you just haven't thought of going down.  Girls often gossip about the latest designer handbag that they've seen in the pages of a glossy magazine or a pair of red soles they've seen a celebrity wearing but often the men in their lives don't notice these material crushes as they're not top on their list of conversational topics.

Well with AskHerFriends.com, the new online gift giving experience, all you need to do is sign up and then the site uses social media to rally those who know your special person best and turn them into a personal team of advisers.  There is some effort required on your part as you'll need to choose from a wide variety of gifts and experiences like mini breaks away on offer on the site and even if you don't have a clue where to start, theres an Idea Map quiz to get you started, and then you simply add the items to your Advice List which is then emailed or sent on Facebook and Twitter to her friends who can then rate or comment on you choices which will let you know if you've hit the spot or got it way off.  Just think about how much pressure that would take off you knowing that the girl in your life will love the gift you've chosen for her.

There's lots of gorgeous products to choose from, including unique, boutique items to quirky and designer goods, there is something for every womans taste and to suit every budget.  I particularly like the feature where you can search by the cost of the product starting from Under £10 and going up to £250 and over.  There is also an Experts Blog on there which shares ideas and tips on gift buying and funny stories about the best and worst presents that have ever been received.

I think this site is a great idea; I've been looking on their for ideas for myself let alone for my partner to buy me.  They've got some great experiences on there in conjunction with a company called Canopy and Stars which look amazing, really different ideas for a few nights away.

AskHerFriends.com is a brilliant way to eliminate the last minute Christmas shopping dash and a sure fire way to get that girl something special that she'll love.  Take the stress off your shoulders this year boys and give a gift with confidence this Christmas, why don't you Ask Her Friends?

Yours Sincerely,

  1. This is a great idea! I feel like I have a really clear style - both in clothing and home decor - and that I'd be easy to shop for. However, I get complaints that I just buy everything I want anyways, so there's nothing left out there that I'd want. This is a clever remedy for that! Thanks for sharing.

  2. My girlfriend has emailed me this post with the title HINT. At first I was offended thinking she must never like the gifts I but her but now I realise I tend to go for the safe bets, generic presents like DVDs of movies we've seen and perfume I know she already has so this post has really helped me. I'm going to sign up tonight. Thanks for this post. I never comment on these things but thought u shud know that this has really changed my gift buying this year, thanks a million.
