Today I thought I'd share with you some of the products I've enjoyed using most this month.
For the last week of March and the first week of April, I had a cold and my lips really suffered. I don't know if it was a result of the constant nose blowing but they were left so chapped, tight and dry. This lip conditioner worked instantly to hydrate my lips and to restore their softness and usual great condition. It has a slightly cooling almost tingling feeling when applied and really makes my lips feel super soft. The lip conditioner is packed full of vitamins A and E and it also has Aloe Vera and collagen in it which help to keep lips healthy and young too. It has SPF 15 too which means that it will be great at protecting your lips against the sun's rays so perhaps a one for me to take on holiday with me this summer. Whilst a late favourite, I had to acknowledge this lip product as it was my saviour product recently! For a few pounds, it is a real gem.
Coconut Milk Body Lotion- Available from The Body Shop
This is usually a product that I use in the summer when it is really hot as it is a very lightweight lotion, however I've been using it this month as I've had a few sunbed sessions. I don't use sunbeds enough in this way to get a tan at all (I'm a slave to my false tanners), I have psoriasis which responds really well to the sun, so when I'm stressed or my skin flares up, I spray on some sunscreen and pop on the sunbed for 3 minutes to give my skin a short burst which usually does the trick. When coming off the sunbed, I've been spraying this onto my skin as it absorbs really quickly so I don't have to wait for it to sink in before I get dressed. It smells incredible, so coconutty and it doesn't leave a residue on my skin, it just leaves my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and soft. I'd recommend this for use in the summer or on holiday. It's lush if you pop it in the fridge to use as an aftersun as it becomes to cooling.
Glow Super Shine Spray- Available from Neal and Wolf
I've been absolutely loving Glow by Neal and Wolf this month. It's a super shine spray that is suitable for all hair types. After drying and styling my hair, I spritz this through the mid lengths and ends of my hair and it leaves it looking healthy and full of shine, without looking greasy. I keep it off my roots as they're incredibly oil as it is but I love the way it makes the rest of my hair look. This spray is great if you want to control frizz or smooth the hair too- its perfect for spritzing on fly aways. Aside from the performance of the spray, I love the way that it smells too- I can't describe it but it's sweet and attracts lots of sniffs from passers by!
Elemis Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion- Available from QVC
The hand cream that I've been keeping on my desk at work this month is the Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion from Elemis who are a brand I've loved for many years after enjoying their products on spa breaks. This lotion has been used daily on my hands, wrists and elbows where I have dry skin and psoriasis and it has worked a treat at keeping my skin soft and supple. It is quite a thick cream but absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving it feeling ridiculously smooth and moisturised. I love the smell of the lotion too, it reminds me of perfumed talcum powder which gives me that warm fuzzy feeling! I'd definitely repurchase this when it runs out.
The moisturiser that I used throughout the whole month of march was the Restoring Night Cream from Manuka Doctor. This stuff is super moisturising and gets to work over night to make my skin look and feel amazing by the time I wake up. Check out my full review here.
I've loved using this product, particularly this month. It is great as a base for make up and even better for make up free days as it perfects the skin and gives it a sun kissed glow. I've reviewed it fully here.
This serum has been a favourite of mine for years. I reviewed it again recently in this post where I'm also dressed as a bee. Clearly I've been uber fashion concious this month!
In March, I've been using this oil every single day. It contains Marula Oil and is designed to target damage and reduce split ends by up to 90%. When I've washed my hair, I towel dry it and apply a generous few pumps through the mid lengths and ends and then when my hair is dry, I use it again through the mid lengths and ends but a little less generously. It leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth and with a healthy shine. I do find though that the shine isn't long lasting so I do have to reapply this everyday- it isn't something that you can apply once and it'll stay in your hair in between washes. The oil smells incredible and I've thoroughly enjoyed using it this month which is why I've included it in my favourites but I wont be repurchasing it when I've fully used it up as it doesn't smooth the ends of my hair quite enough- they're really dry so I'm going to continue my search for the perfect hair oil.
