I've got quite a sizeable fashion and beauty haul for you that I've accumulated over the last month. There's some pieces from Forever 21 and John Bell and Croyden that I picked up on my travels to London and of course, it wouldn't be the start of the summer without some pieces from Primark. Oh and then I went to Peacocks, Matalan and Evans.... Oh Lord, lets just get started...
When it comes to tops, Primark do it really well. Cheap and cheerful basics with an on trend twist. Each of these were around £4 each. The top two t shirts have a gorgeous lace detailing on the back that just comes over the shoulders which looks so great for the springtime but is also sophisticated enough to wear for work. I'm wearing the black one in this outfit post. The other top I bought was this gorgeous Barbie pink slogan top, with DORK across the bust. I love these tops, I know literally EVERYONE has them but I just think they're so cute!
Another slogan top that caught my eye was this coral t shirt with 'FREE SPIRIT' on it from Peacocks. At only £10 this one was another bargain and will add a great splash of colour to my summertime casual outfits. The coral colour is gorgeous and looks great with the black lettering and black satin style edging. It has a drop back too so it would be suitable for wearing with leggings, jeans or tucked into some shorts or a maxi skirt.
Both of these tops were purchased when I went to London for a photoshoot with Simply Be. It was my first time buying anything from Forever 21 and I wasn't too impressed by their plus size range if I'm honest. The sizing was way off and there wasn't much to choose from however their standard range looked fantastic and the accessories were gorgeous. The first top I got was a soft cotton coral t shirt that has a chiffon drop back. It was around £12 and will be perfect for the summer with some leggings and coral sandals. The second top I bought wasn't much more money than the tshirt, so again, great value for money. It's a gorgeous mint green thin, soft touch jumper and it feels so comfortable when its on. I wore this in between shots at the photo shoot.
I was shopping in Matalan for a beach cover up to give my friend as a gift for her birthday when I spotted this gorgeous rose print oversized vest top. I opted for the blue and purple hues over the orange and yellow one that was available as I thought it would look gorgeous with some white shorts. The colours are so beautiful in this design and at £6 it's an absolute steal! I love the relaxed fit but I'll definitely need to wear a bandeau with this.
This is the black Embellished Dip Back Top from the Scarlett and Jo collection at Evans. You might recognise it from Monday's post, WhatLauraWore: A Touch of Silver Sparkle, so head on over there for a full review and to see how I've styled it.
Klorane and Bioderma from John Bell and Croyden
I picked up both of these from John Bell and Croyden which is a huge pharmacy in London. I have used the Klorane Eye Make Up Remover (review here) for years now and it is absolutely my go to product for removing eye make up. It takes off every last bit of eye make up, even stubborn waterproof liquid liner and eyelash glue. It isn't oily at all and is super super gentle. I'll always repurchase this. The Bioderma is a different story. I haven't tried it before but I've heard SO many good reviews about it so I can't wait to give it a whirl. It's a cleansing water which is my favourite type of make up remover so I'm sure I'll get along well with it. I'll be doing a full review of it when I've given it a thorough road testing. The Klorane eye make up remover was around £6 and the Bioderma £9.99 each.
Soap and Glory at Boots
I saw that there was a 3 for 2 offer on all Soap and Glory products at Boots so I decided to treat myself to another Sugar Crush body scrub and a couple of the body washes. I adore the smell of these products, they're just like key lime pie, so yummy. This is my first time trying out the body wash and believe me, it is as great as you would expect it to be. I've used the body scrub before as I got one for Christmas, you can read my review here.
If you follow me on Twitter, you may know that I'm busy decorating my bedroom. I popped into Breeze and picked up this gorgeous gold poppy canvas for my bedroom wall. I just fell in love with it, it's soooooo gorgeous. I've been looking for a textured canvas like this for ages and at just under £25, I couldn't resist buying this one.
