The dress I'm wearing in today's outfit post is by AX Paris and its the Lace Motif Skater Dress from their line at Simply Be. I absolutely love some of the dresses that they have released with Simply Be and the great thing about them is that they're available in more sizes (12 to 32) than the standard AX Paris Curve line (18 to 26) so more gorgeous plus sized girls can rock their clothes.
If black is a staple colour in your wardrobe then this is a great option to shake it up a little bit as it has a gorgeous creamy white lace motif detailing on the front and back that really breaks up the black whilst keeping it classy.
This dress has a classic skater shape which can flatter a multitude of shapes and sizes. It zips up at the back and the zip comes down the back of the dress quite low which is really handy to have as there doesn't feel like there is any stretch in the material of the dress so the zip helps to be able to get the dress on and off comfortable. Another point I'd add about the dress is that I personally think it is a very small fit around the waist which is unusual for me to find given that it is my smallest area and I wear AX Paris Curve dresses all the time without any trouble- still perfectly comfortable to wear but definitely a small fit so if you're ordering this dress I would suggest sizing up, or ordering your usual size and the next one up to compare.
I've paired this dress with the black Anna Scholz Peep Toe Platforms that I wore on my photoshoot with Simply Be which are really comfortable because they have a super chunky heel and sole, although they run a little wide on my feet.

I also popped on a slick of my new lipstick, Chatterbox from MAC that my lovely friends Zoe and Cole got me for Christmas. Its an amplified crème finish so it looks ultra creamy on the lips, a little bit shiny and packed full of colour. The shade is a bright red-pink but its not too in your face so you can wear it during the day and at night- it looks gorgeous and I LOVE IT!
On my eyes, I opted for a slightly smoky eye with MAC's Frozen White Pigment (also from Z and C) as my brow bone and inner corner highlight which works really well for a cooler toned look as it is white in colour but has a blue duochrome to it. Super pretty.
