We all know by now how much of a fan I am of Jack Wills. I love the quintessentially British style and the exceptionally good quality pieces and Mr WLL does too.
On our recent trip to Oxford between Christmas and New Year, we were out in the city centre on our way to see the castle and old prison and I was freezing cold. The gloves I'd taken away with me just weren't cutting it and my poncho wasn't keeping out the cold so headed into a few shops on our way to the museum to get me some knitwear.
While we passed quite a few stores, I spotted Jack Wills in the distance after a failed knitwear mission in The White Company. I'm a big believer in not wasting money on something I wont use again, so I didn't want to just buy anything to keep me warm- I wanted to buy something that was good quality, from a brand that I love and that I will certainly wear again.
It was actually Mr WLL who spotted the pink knitwear set in Jack Wills. These are all items that are bought separately and while I was originally just looking for a hat and some mittens, I had to buy the matching scarf to complete the set. These were all in the sale and an absolutely fabulous deal for such great quality knitted accessories.
The Kersbrook Scarf, Allwood Hat and Dashwood Mittens are a beautiful pink magenta colour, much brighter than these photos show. They're all made from lambswool and have white detailing in a fairisle inspired print. The mittens are the cutest with their faux fur lining; I much prefer mittens to gloves as my fingers feel less restricted and I like that I can feel my actual fingers in them, if that makes any sense at all!
I've been buying Jack Wills knitted accessories for years and can really attest to how amazing they are. These kept me so warm while we were exploring Oxford and I can't wait to wear them out and about now that I'm home.
Some of you may know that I joined a new fitness club back in December. I have an injury that prevents me from doing a lot but this particular club has some water based classes that are ideal for me at the moment as they are a very light form of exercise.
Joining the club is more for rehabilitation than to get fit but I still wanted to upgrade some of my current gym accessories and clothing.
I had just been buying bottles of water to take with me but I don't particularly like doing that as I like to save money where I can so that I can spend it on nice things that I can keep rather than throwing it in the recycling! So I picked up this Jack Wills gym water bottle. I believe it was in the sale although I can't see sight nor sound of it on the Jack Wills website- in fact, I can't see any of their homeware on there. I do hope they haven't stopped selling it all together as I loved the look of their huge cushions!
I also thought my current Jack Wills gym bag was in need of an upgrade. You can see the one that I was using back in my 'Whats In My Gym Bag?' post and I'm sure you'll agree that the one I've bought to replace it is a much more appropriate colour; the pink body of my old bag has got quite dirty after years at uni and dragging it in and out of gym lockers! I'm going to clean it up though so that I can use it as a hand luggage bag.
Anyway, back to my new gym bag. It is a long, cylindrical duffel style bag in navy blue with the Jack Wills Physical Training design on the side. I love that it has two top handles and also a long strap so it can be carried, worn over the shoulder or across the body. I've packed it tonight, ready for my class in the morning and it has fit everything I need in it. If you'd like to see a new 'Whats In My Gym Bag?' post or video then do let me know as things have really changed since my last post!
