Remember my post last month about putting together a colour palette for your winter wardrobe? If you haven't given it a read yet then you can do here as this outfit post is another example of how I have brought my chosen colour scheme to life.
In these photos, I am wearing my favourite winter coat from the So Fabulous range at Very. The Faux Fur Hooded Parka is available in the khaki colour that I have and also in black.
A khaki parka is very much a style staple for the winter months and this one is perfect because it has a gorgeous feminine touch in the hood with borg lining inside and a faux fur trim. It also has some PU trim detailing which is a lovely touch because it breaks up the khaki colour slightly and adds a little interest to the coat.
The parka coat is lightly padded and keeps me very warm but it still manages to remain lightweight which is perfect for me. There is a draw string at the waist which helps to give the coat a little more shape. I found that this was ideal for my shape as I get wider at my stomach and find that coats can tend to make me look the same width all the way up my body whereas if I pull the drawstring when I zip the coat up, it gives me more shape. Theres a few pockets too which means I don't need to drag my bag out with me when I'm nipping out to the shops in the cold!
Underneath my coat, I'm wearing the So Fabulous Stitch Interest Jumper which is also from Very. This has been one of my most worn jumpers this winter because it goes with so many of the other pieces in my wardrobe.
It is now half price in the sale which is an absolute bargain but the quality is fabulous and it looks much more expensive than it is so I'm not disappointed at all that I paid the full price for it. This gorgeous cream jumper is quite preppy and really reminds me of the Ralph Lauren jumpers that many people love.
I've paired it with another wardrobe staple of mine, the New Look Inspire Denim Jersey Leggings and my Steve Madden studded loafers. The bag that I'm carrying is a Louis Vuitton although I must admit that I haven't a clue what the name of it is. It was actually the first one I ever bought while on my Pass Plus Driving Test (I chose to drive to Manchester and back specifically so that I could go shopping in Selfridges while I was there...!!).
