This snow just doesn't seem to be going away does it?
I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to the warmer weather but for the meantime, I'm thinking positively and enjoying getting wrapped up warm in my winter wardrobe.
Black has featured heavily in my closet this winter and when I haven't been wearing my Khaki parka (review here), I've been wearing other winter warmer coats like this one from Daxon.
The Long Hooded Padded Jacket is a thick, heavy padded coat that is of superb quality. It is incredible well made and so sturdy right down to the zips and detailing. The thickness of the coat does add a bit of bulk to the frame but when its that cold outside, I really am not bothered about that. This coat keeps me so warm while still looking stylish. The thick fur lined hood looks great when the coat is worn open or zipped up half way as it really holds its own. I found that it was a little too claustrophobic when fastened up completely but if you really like to feel snuggly then it will be ideal for you.
I have the coat in black but it is also available in grey and midnight blue in sizes 10 through to 32. It is a small fit so I'd suggest sizing up at least one size, maybe two and that may size out some people from being able to buy this coat, which would be a shame as it is such a lovely coat. I wonder if they have made the coat for a size ten and then just added inches as they've gone up each size without taking into consideration the plus size frame.
