I must admit, blue nail polish is a bit of a funny one. I've never really been a fan of wearing it, mostly because I like my nails and toes to match and I'm not sure that I would like blue toe nails so I prefer to go for pinks when I'm feeling all matchy matchy.
However when I put this jumper and my Harry Fay ring on, I knew exactly which nail polish would look compliment my outfit perfectly and that's the Collection Work The Colour Nail Polish in Sonic Blue.
Sonic Blue is such a true blue shade, lying somewhere between being a cobalt blue and a royal blue. It is simply stunning and as soon as I applied it, I realised how much I've been neglecting colours like this in my collection. I felt a little silly for avoiding blues on my nails because my toes wouldn't match- especially as until the warmer weather comes, my feet are always covered up anyway!
The Collection Work The Colour Nail Polishes are really something special, especially for their low price at £1.99 each. Sonic Blue literally glides on to the nails with such an even formula, it really rivals some of my higher end nail polishes. It needed two coats, as most polishes do, to be completely opaque and as the formula isn't thick or gloopy in the slightest, each layer dried quickly.
I love how pigmented this colour is, the colour pay off is fabulous and that is something that I really love about Collection nail polishes because they impart the same colour onto the nails as you would expect from looking at the polish in the bottle so there's no sad surprises when you choose a pretty colour, get it home and find that it is a completely different colour to what you thought it would be! I HATE it when that happens!
Sonic Blue has a lovely finish on the nails as it has a nice shine to it but it isn't overly glossy. I find that it lasts about three days on me before chipping which is good going when I'm always tapping away on my phone!
