Mother's Day is fast approaching and to help you out with your present buying, I thought I'd put together my top gifts from three of my favourite department stores House of Fraser, John Lewis and the one and only Selfridges.
House of Fraser Mother's Day Gifts
House of Fraser is top of my shopping list for all occasions throughout the year. It is my favourite and most visited store in the Metro Centre because they have such a great mix of beauty products and fashion.
What I love the most about HoF at special holidays throughout the year is that they really go out of their way to bring customers some fantastic gift sets at so many different price points. Take a look at my top picks above and you'll see what I mean about variety of brands, products and prices!
John Lewis Mother's Day Gifts
Where I live in the North East, if you're looking for superb quality on the highstreet then you head to John Lewis. They're particularly great for homeware and Mother's Day is the ideal time to treat your mum to something that she really wants for the home if she's the house proud type. A canteen of cutlery is a great option and they're available for all budgets. If your mum would prefer something a little higher end then you could always put money together with your siblings if you have them and buy it as a joint present or get her a gift voucher towards the set she wants if you don't have the option of doing that. Tableware is another great option and this platinum striped set by Jasper Conran for Wedgewood is my personal fave.
They also have a Kindle for only £49 which I think would make the ideal gift for a mum!
Selfridges Mother's Day Gifts
Selfridges offer the best in luxury gifting this Mother's Day but they also carry some really affordable gifts too. If your mum is into jewellery, I'd really recommend Monica Vinader. Selfridges stock their beautiful Fiji bracelets in various pretty metals and so many colours that you're sure to find one that your mum would love. They retail at a variety of different price points too to suit your budget. The same could be said for their flower selection with these affordable tulips that are sure to brighten up any home and these elaborate blooms that are sure to be worth every penny.
Don't pass Selfridges off as being a store that you need a high budget to shop in, you don't, all you need is an eye for quality as thats what you're going to get with every piece from there. They have such a wide range of stock that you can get so many items to suit a wide range of budgets.
If I were a mum, my ideal gift from Selfridges would be the Stella McCartney x Cannon Linda Bag and EOS camera along with some yummy chocolates.
If you're from the North West then I have a fabulous event to tell you all about.
Selfridges are having a Mother's Day Beauty Event on Saturday 14th March from 12 to 6pm at both their Trafford and Exchange Square stores and let me tell you girls, its going to be fantastic.
Mother's and daughters can come along to the stores to enjoy beauty treatments on various counters, complimentry consultations and lots more. There'll even be Prosecco and canapés served throughout the day with live music and some little goodies to take home. There'll be some original personalisation opportunities and an engraver there too which will be great if you're treating your mum to a special something on the day and for spends over £150, there's complimentary flower posies on offer.
Tickets are £10 which are redeemable against purchases on the day. For more information, see this page and to book you can call Selfridges Exchange Square on 0161 838 0610 and Selfridges Trafford on 0161 629 1123 or see a member of staff in store. Be quick though as I can see these being so popular as there's so many mothers and daughters who'd love a girlie shopping day together.
How will you be spending Mother's Day this year?
