What a week I have had! What a couple of weeks in fact. I wont sit here and tell you all the ins and outs of my private life because I'd be here all day and I fear that once I start, I'll not be able to stop. What I will say is that I've made it to the weekend and I intend to spend it relaxing and getting my mind and body refreshed ready for the week ahead.
I've been so busy this week and I'm absolutely exhausted. When the Soothe-Me Mindful Body and Bath Oil came in the post recently, I knew that I would save it for this day and as I type this, I'm busy running a bath ready to use it. We have one of these huge 2 person jacuzzi tubs that the owners of our house previously had installed. It sounds pretty glamorous but in actual fact, it takes nearly an hour to fill and costs an arm and a leg to run.
When Sooth-Me got in touch with me and asked if I'd like to try out one of their artisan skincare products, I immediately responded with what do you have that is going to relax me? and that is how the award winning Mindful body and bath oil came to find a new home with me.
Life is so busy, it can leave your mind-full and don't I know it! This oil is designed to relax you, leading you into moments of mindfulness and calm. It contains an essential oil blend of soothing Geranium, relaxing Lavender, healing Patchouli and nourishing Benzoin. I adore the use of lavender in oils as it really has an impact on how relaxed and at ease I feel. As soon as I unscrew the lid from this bottle, I can smell it and I love how relaxed it makes me feel before I've even applied it to my body. It also contains a mix of Plum and Apricot Kernel oils which are nourishing for dry skin and calming for anxious feelings.
I have a sample size of the oil that comes in a little glass bottle with a screw lid but if you purchase the full size, it comes in an easy to use bottle with a no mess pump top.
This oil can be used all over the body, even on the face and neck, and in the bath which is the way that I am going to use it. It can also be used to massage into children and teens with growing pains.
So... fast forward a few hours, I've had my bath and used the oil as I intended to. What I did was I poured a small amount directly into my bath water and then I applied some of the oil directly onto my body, which feels rich but not greasy, then I hopped into the bath to soak.
The room literally filled with fragrance and smelt almost heavenly. The lavender was very prominent which really did help me to feel relaxed and chilled out. My skin felt very nourished while I was in the bath and when I got out, I just patted my skin dry which left the oil on my skin to sink in further. What I really liked about this oil in particular is that it was very clean in that it didn't leave awful scarmy marks around my bath tub like some other oils I've tried do and it didn't make the bath mega slippy to get out of either.
A few hours on and my skin is feeling so deeply moisturised and I can still smell the oil on my skin which is no doubt adding to my calm state of mind at the moment. I'm ready for Britain's Got Talent and my bed I think!
