Spending this weekend with Mr WLL has been great; so relaxed and laid back.
On Saturday we went to look at something VERY exciting and today we went to the Metrocentre. I needed to exchange a faulty top but ended up buying a couple of extra things as well, oops, and we hand lunch together at the Handmade Burger Company. I love that they give you the option to have your burger with salad and coleslaw rather than a bun as I'm not too keen on bread.
It was so nice to be able to have a relaxed weekend together where we're not clock watching or having to rush home and we've been rounding off our days watching season 2 of Orphan Black on Netflix which we've both really been enjoying. We're going to need to find a new season to watch when this one is finished as one episode of Wentworth Prison per week is not enough to satisfy my TV cravings!
This is the outfit that I wore when we went to the Metrocentre. Its a pretty standard outfit for me as I'm always wearing a top and pants like this with a jacket of some description over the top.
These denim look leggings are my absolute favourite however I think I'm going to have to place an order online for a new pair. They've been starting to feel a bit big, especially on the legs, for a while now and looking at these photos has confirmed that I do indeed, need a smaller pair as they're hanging off my legs, oops!
I'm wearing them with a black swing vest top which is another staple in my wardrobe as it goes with absolutely everything! Having staple black pieces like this top and the Michael Kors flats that I'm wearing in these pictures in my wardrobe makes getting dressed in a rush so easy as you can just pop them on with jeans, grab a jacket and head out the door looking pulled together.
My kimono is from the new made to measure line at Apples and Pears Clothing who were at Style XL. I'm loving lime this summer and the pom pom trend has really caught my eye so when I saw the two combine with a bright pink in this kimono, I knew I had to have it. I actually ordered it for my holiday this winter but I waned to wear it today as the sun was shining so brightly, it put me in a summery mood.
I added a pink flower bun ring from Primark to my hair as it seemed to match the kimono so well and I even kept the flower theme running through my outfit with my new ring.
This is the Pandora Oxidised Flower Ring from House of Fraser and it is a great piece whether you wear it alone or stacked like a lot of the Pandora rings are meant for. I love wearing sterling silver jewellery as it means that I don't have to keep taking it off when I go in the shower. For years I only wore costume jewellery and while it looked pretty, I would often forget to put it on each day or I would not bother as I knew I'd be going swimming or wherever so having some sterling silver and real gold pieces of jewellery is brilliant for everyday wear as it means that you're always subtly accessorised!
To complete my outfit, I grabbed a very old Juicy Couture pink bag. I rarely use this bag now but I can't bear to part with it as I got it on my first trip to Manchester years and years ago when I took my dad to see The Pogues in concert! It fits all of the essentials in- phone, keys, purse, a few bits of makeup etc, with plenty of room to spare.
