One of my favourite feel-good lipsticks to wear has to the be Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Lost Cherry. Whenever I see this pastel fuchsia shade, I smile.
When I first saw this lipstick, I thought that it was going to be a red shade but when swatched and applied to the lips, it shows its pink tones very clearly. I think that it sits somewhere between the two and it does have a muted feel to it.
This Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is perfect if you're looking for a vibrant pop of colour but something that isn't too bright.
Wearing a more vibrant lipstick can often be a daunting task incase it gets on your teeth or smudges across your face however this is never a problem for me with the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick line.
They're designed with a matte formula which makes them really long last but the great thing about the Matte Revolution formula is that it is comfortable to wear too. This lipstick doesn't drag when applying it to the lips and it doesn't feel drying, tight or flaky on the lips either. The formula is enriched with Lipstick Tree and Orchid Extracts which help to protect the lips as a natural anti-oxidant, as well as soothing and hydrating them.
The lipstick bullet has a squared off, angular tip which actually makes applying the lipstick really easy. Lost Cherry is highly pigmented and while the formula is very buildable, you do get a fantastic colour pay off with only one swipe of the lippy.
My favourite thing about this lipstick and the other Matte Revolution lipsticks is the way that it makes my lips look full. A lot of matte lipsticks can leave your lips looking dull and flat but this line has a 3D effect. Lost Cherry catches the light so well and makes my lips look far more full than they actually are!
Everything about this lipstick feels luxe, right down to the gorgeous rose gold packaging that sits right between old hollywood glamour and the modern day rose gold trend obsession. It is without a doubt, worth the price tag.
