All Hallows Eve is fast approaching.

As each year passes, Halloween becomes more of a big deal in the UK than it has ever been in previous years.

Perhaps because of an American influence from across the pond, so many visitor attractions are opening up with spook specific themes and the shelves in our stores are filled to the brim with gore.  There seems to be something for everyone from the mild and tame to the thrilling and exhilarating which is sure to delight horror fans like me.

Of course with so many parties and spooky events to attend, finding the perfect outfit is a must.  There are plenty of places to purchase costumes on the highstreet and online but the availability is scarce if you're looking for a plus size Halloween costume.

Buying a costume can also work out to be very pricey if the cost per wear is only for one evening.  Sure, you could wear the same outfit in subsequent years but who wants to wear the same Halloween costume year after year? I certainly don't!

This week, I'm going to show you how you can create seven different Halloween outfits using the latest plus size fashion from Yours Clothing.  The looks will be inspired by various Halloween costumes but the great thing about them is that you'll be investing in your wardrobe for the season ahead as they're pieces that you can wear countless times throughout the autumn and winter.

This first outfit was inspired by the floral skull and corpse bride style looks that are becoming increasingly popular except this look is much easier to recreate and a lot more wearable.  It is a great option for those of you who find the task of Halloween makeup daunting and it would be perfect for if you're essentially looking for a pretty party dress with a quick-to-achieve twist for Halloween.

The dress that I'm wearing is the stunning Black and Multi Rose Print Skater Dress With Notch Neck & Mesh Panel from Yours Clothing.  Made from a heavy scuba fabric, it really holds its skater shape and pleated skirt well.  The shape is very flattering and will look fabulous on so many figures.  I love the way that the cut of the dress shows a little cleavage; its subtly sexy and the length is perfect too.  I'm 5ft 5" and it falls to just above the knee.

It was the gorgeous print that first attracted me to this dress.  The sheen on the scuba fabric really enables the rose print to pop and stand out against the black of the dress.  The mix of shades is so stunning and the design overall is definitely what others complimented me on the most when I wore it.

If you're looking to create a look like this for Halloween then I'd really suggest this dress because you'll be able to wear it throughout the autumn and winter months.  It would make the perfect date night dress right up until Valentines' Day and of course it would look fabulous at any party over the festive season.  I certainly have plenty of occasions lined up that I'd love to wear it at.

For me, dressing is all about comfort so a comfortable to wear dress requires comfy shoes but that doesn't have to mean flats.  I'm wearing some black flatform style wedges; they give me the extra height but since they're not on a slant the way that a heel would be, they're uber comfortable, easy to walk in and supportive thanks to the thick straps that they have over them too.

To give my outfit a spooky upgrade, I added a floral crown style headband from Claire's Accessories.  I'd really recommend checking out Claire's if you're looking for glam Halloween accessories this year as they have lots of gorgeous pieces that are more grown up or sparkly, as well as the fun, traditional accessories.

For my makeup, I simply created a smoky eye using the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette (check out this AMAZING UD palette gift set) and some winged liquid liner before going in with a black eyeshadow to deepen the crease.

I then took the black shadow and applied it to my complexion where I would usually contour (forehead, nose, cheeks, chin and down onto my neck), using a fluffy tapered brush, with a little extra across the top of the forehead.  On the edges of where I had shaded the black on my face, I then added a purple and a pink eye shadow and blended that into the black to soften it a little.

The overall look from both a beauty and fashion perspective is very simple to create but effective; perfect for if you're in a rush to get ready, if you're a Halloween makeup novice like me or for if you don't want to go too overboard with your costume.

It looks like you've made so much more effort, when really you could have just pulled the dress on and amped up your makeup after work ready for a Halloween party or night out!

Regardless of your Halloween makeup or costume skills, The Alnwick Garden is certainly somewhere to visit this year.  They have many exciting activities happening over the next week and with live actors and spooky decorations, there's lots to see around the garden that you'll have not seen before.

These photographs were taken in the Halloween Snow Globe at The Alnwick Garden.  This is a new addition for the garden and something that the whole family can enjoy.

Step inside the giant Halloween themed snow globe complete with a haunting backdrop and black snow.  It's lots of fun, especially with the gruesome props and your little goblins, ghouls, spooks, witches and warlocks will love it I'm sure.

Don't forget to capture a spooktacular photograph to remind you of the great time you've had!
