Barry M Instant Nail Effects

Barry M Instant Nail Effects in Black Magic

I must be the last person to try this out but literally every time I go into Superdrug they’re sold out.  I thought this was the case when I went on Thursday too but as I was browsing some other shelves I saw a lonely bottle that someone had obviously picked up, then decided on something else so put it back.  Their loss is my gain as they say!

So to use the Barry M Instant Nail Effects, all you need to do is apply a base coat of clear nail polish and/or a colour of nail polish of your choice (if you’re applying a bright or dark nail polish its always best to apply a clear base coat to stop your nails from staining), leave it to dry and then apply a single coat of the instant nail effects nail paint and watch the paint crackle before your eyes. I would then recommend applying a top coat to seal it all in, smooth out the polish and simply because the nail effects nail paint doesn’t feel particularly great when its dry.  Speaking of drying time, its really quick which I was impressed by.  Its really important to apply one layer only of the nail effects as overlapping the nail paint doesn’t allow it to crackle in the same way and create the same effect.  It has a hard time drying too if you overlap it and it can spoil your polish underneath- so don’t do it! That’s you lot told 😛 Haha just kidding.

What I really love about the nail effects is that you don’t have to be very precise with your application, as long as you don’t overlap that is, and you don’t have to worry about getting right to the corners.  Every nail turns out different and looking unique is what this nail paint is all about.

I was already wearing Evergreen by Models Own and I couldn’t wait to try out this Instant Nail Effects nail paint so I went ahead and applied it on top of the Evergreen.  Obviously this was just a quick application but it shows the effect that you get with it.  I really think that its cool and different.  Admittedly, its not a look I would wear every day but I would wear it on a night out and I’m pleased I’ve added it to my collection.

This Instant Nail Effects polish is in the shade Black Magic.  Barry M currently only have the one shade but I do believe they are planning on bringing out more shades which would be lovely.  A white, or perhaps a metallic gold or silver would be gorgeous! *hint hint* Barry M!

They retail at £3.99 each and you can buy them here on Barry M’s official website or you can buy them at Superdrug…. who incidentally have an offer on at the moment- 3 for 2 across their whole makeup range so you can buy a product from Barry M, pick up something from Me Me Me and something from Sleek, for example, and still get them on 3 for 2.  Quite good I would say!

Whats your take on the Instant Nail Effects nail paint? Love it or Hate it?
