Clarins NEW Wellness Treatments // A Review Of The Clarins Beauty Sleep Wellness Treatment

Clarins The Beauty Sleep Collection on WhatLauraLoves

The best nights sleep this autumn begins at your local Clarins.  They’ve just launched their new wellness body treatments that’ll have you sleeping soundly and waking up feeling refreshed.

There’s two to choose from Beauty Sleep and Rise & Shine, both of which last for a heavenly 1hr and 25mins and come with a fabulous gift to take home after the treatment to continue the effects.

So what exactly do they do? I hear you all ask.  Well let me tell you, you’re in for a treat with these head to toe treatments for when you’re in need of a break away from your busy, daily grind.  Modern lifestyle can be tough on the mind and body and these treatments are designed as a way to connect and take care of them, connecting the five senses and calming the soul, for a truly sensorial experience and a refreshed sense of wellbeing.

With the aim of releasing stress and tension, reenergising your body and improving your mood, the new wellness body treatments combine signature Clarins plant-powered products with The Wellness Touch known as ‘Leminskate.’  This is a spiral, figure of eight movement that the therapist uses all over the body from the head to toe to regulate vital energy and facilitate deep relaxation.  Your choice of either the Rise & Shine or Beauty Sleep Wellness Treatment will determine the specific rhythm and level of pressure for the ‘Leminskate’ massage.

Rise & Shine is definitely the treatment that you want to go for when you need to feel revived, revitalised and recharged ready to take on the day.  Its perfect for those who are feeling as though they’re lacking in energy, run down and stressed (which is often myself!), as it helps to  boost your mood and lift your spirits with a stimulating body massage using those figure of eight moves in an invigorating way along with a reviving facial to give the skin a radiant and dewy glow.

Sounds pretty perfect doesn’t it?  Well it did to me too until I heard the option of the Beauty Sleep Wellness Treatment.  Now while the Rise & Shine treatment is definitely something that I would greatly benefit from, the treatment that I thought would be the most beneficial to me in the moment was the Beauty Sleep.  Tipped as being just like a good night’s sleep for those feeling stressed, exhausted and lacking in the snooze department, it sounded absolutely perfect for me as I could tick all of those boxes three times over.

Inducing a feeling of total relaxation, this treatment uses the figure of eight movements in a more calming than invigorating way to really soothe and relax the skin, mind and senses, ready for a good nights sleep.

During the days leading up to the treatment, I was jet lagged and feeling stressed as I’d just got back from Jamaica and headed straight back to work without giving myself enough time to properly adjust which isn’t something that I would normally do but I had some meetings across the country that week that were so important for me to attend.   My treatment couldn’t come soon enough!

The Clarins Beauty Sleep Wellness Treatment began with a consultation to ascertain which treatment I wanted to go for, any contraindications and my current wellness, sleep and skincare routine and concerns before turning down the lights to a calming blue and beginning the treatment all from the comfort of the Clarins spa therapy bed with a water pillow under my legs and feet to aid a feeling of weightlessness.  Its amazing how much of a difference such a small addition can make; I really felt so relaxed and as though I was floating on air from the off.

The therapist awakens your senses before putting you into a figurative sleep bubbles so that you get the most out of the treatment.  She began with massaging my left arm and then worked across my body, onto my tummy and down onto my leg, across to the other leg and back up, before moving onto the fact and then onto the back.

While having the treatment, I could feel the motion of the continuous figure of eight Wellness Touch across my face and body and the result was so relaxing as the tension was released from my body.  As well as a body treatment, the Beauty Sleep Wellness Treatment also includes a mini facial and elements of head massage.

What is unusual about it is that the treatment begins with you lying on your back before you turn over onto your chosen side and are given a bolster pillow to cuddle onto while your back is massaged, which I’ll admit sounds a little bizarre but trust me, it is so relaxing and since I usually go to sleep lying on my right hand side, I really had to fight myself to stay awake during the treatment.  I was close to dozing off on so many occasions and that’s how I knew I was truly relaxed.

My skin looked radiant and soothed from head to toe, as though I’d had a great nights sleep.  I felt as though I looked well rested and I felt it too; it was as though the stress and tension I’d gone into the room with were significantly reduced and I felt calmer, like I was walking on air.

After the treatment, I was given The Beauty Sleep Collection which is a gift set given to those who have this particular treatment and it is built into the cost of the treatment which I love the idea of as it is a treatment that keeps on giving you benefits for weeks after the spa visit.

I’ve noted it countless times on my blog but Clarins are superb at giving samples away as it is; I’ve never felt pressured to buy at the counter and have always felt confident in being able to try a sample of a product first, having been shown how to use it and what it can do for my skin, in the comfort of my own home, before returning to the counter to purchase or to enquire further.  They have small, tester size samples behind the counter and then have deluxe sized samples that come as a gift with purchase during promotional periods throughout the year, my favourite being the annual Feed charity release which donates 10 meals to school children all over the world when you purchase two or more Clarins products, one being skincare and receive their gift with purchase.  I’m sure you’ll have seen my Insta Story all about it but this year, the Feed gift contained deluxe sized samples of the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, SOS Hydra Mask (great for taking on plane journeys), Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, Relax Body Treatment Oil and the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 01 (the golden yellow one).  These are a great way to try out other Clarins products and they’re perfect for saving for when you’re travelling.  I’ve discovered some of my all time favourite Clarins products in this way.

The Beauty Sleep Collection gift also contains deluxe sized samples with the view that these are to be used to prolong the benefits of your massage treatment.  Inside the box, you are treated to the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, Relax Body Treatment Oil for Soothing/Relaxing and the Relax Bath and Shower Concentrate, along with an eye mask that works surprisingly well and has made its way onto my bedside table ready to be popped on just before I go to sleep.  These products work at treat and if you use them at bedtime like I have been then you’ll quickly find that you fall into a sleepy time routine with them.  Clarins products really evoke the senses so the calming properties of these really relaxes my mind before bedtime as well as nourishing my skin.

After the treatment, I received an email containing my Clarins personalised beauty regime, with recommendations for me to try by my Clarins Specialist including the products from the gift set and the Multi Active Day and Night Cream.  Many spas give you a sheet or booklet after you have a treatment, I’m sure many of us will have seen them before and will know how unhelpful they are as they have very little information aside from product category and name on them whereas the Clarins system is far superior.  Each recommendation given to you has the product name and an image of the product so that you know what it looks like, a description of the product so that you know what it is and what it does and advice on how to use it, which I’m sure we can all agree is far more useful and as a customer, it makes me far more inclined to purchase products in the future, especially the ones that came in The Beauty Sleep Collection Gift Set.

Beauty Sleep is definitely a wellness treatment to have towards the end of your day to help you to relax and unwind.  I’d recommend booking in on a day when you don’t have anywhere to go or any household chores or work to do that night.  Simply go home, switch off and relax.  It’s important to realise that you’re allowed that time for you and you deserve it.  Taking time out for your self care is essential and getting a good nights sleep is as good for the soul as it is for the mind and body.

That night, I kept away from social media and electronics in general and spent some time cuddled up to my boyfriend wearing my snuggly PJs.  It was just what I needed and when it came to bedtime, I had no problems drifting off.

The Clarins Wellness Treatments are the perfect opportunity for you to indulge in some essential me time to enhance your wellbeing, mood and sleep.  If you’re feeling stressed or as though you have zero energy then they’re definitely the treatment for you.

Head to a Clarins Skin Spa or beauty counter to find out more about Rise & Shine and Beauty Sleep and to get booked in!  You can find out more information here.

If you’re in the North East, I’d recommend the Clarins Skin Spa within Debenhams at the intu Metrocentre.

I can imagine this felt wonderful. I do tend to find that my sleep is by no means relaxed enough, and I’ve actually started to grind my teeth really badly in my sleep too. Just horrible. This kind of treatment certainly sounds like something I would benefit from. I’m about an hour from the Metro centre, but it would be so worth it.

This certainly sounds like something I need, being a Mum you don’t alway get the refreshing sleep that you need. Thank you. X
