Colourway Haircare Review

Colourway UK

When Rob, the official UK distributor of Colourway haircare in the UK, asked me if I wanted to try out some of their products, I said yes because I’d heard they were great to use on both natural hair and extensions.  For almost two years now, I have been wearing Remi Cachet hair extensions and I’m very careful as to which products I use on them so as to not strip their colour, dry them out, encourage the bonds to slip or any other implications that can come with using different hair products on the hair extensions to the ones that were specifically created for the hair.

While I absolutely adore Remi Cachet and many of their products, sadly I don’t get on with their shampoo and conditioner, so my search for the perfect cleansing and conditioning duo has continued, until now.

Colourway Haircare

As with all of my reviews, I have thoroughly tested the products that I was gifted; theres never a slapdash, use it a couple of times and share your thoughts approach from me and that’s something I’m proud to standby.  I’ve been using these products for a solid 6 weeks now and I’m ready to tell you my thoughts… although if truth be told, I think some of you were ready for me to reveal all too as when I posted this instagram picture and filmed an Insta LIVE the same night, I had lots of lovely questions about my hair.

The only thing that I’ve changed in recent months is the shampoo, conditioner and hair oil that I use and they’re all from Colourway!

Colourway use Italian keratin throughout their shampoo, conditioner and treatments which helps to leave the hair stronger and with a weightless feel.  There are 10 products in the whole range, including shampoo, conditioner, hair oil and even a body wash.  I have been trying out three of them; the Nourishing Moisture Keratin Shampoo, Nutrient Nourishing Keratin Conditioner and Renewing Macadamia Oil.

Colourway Shampoo, Conditioner and Oil

My toned ash blonde hair is typically oily at the root, for which dry shampoo is my best friend, and dry at the ends thanks to heat styling and colour processing.  I have my hair high and low lighted as well as double toned so maintaining my colour and tone is really important to me.

The Colourway Nourishing Moisture Keratin Shampoo for dry, coloured hair and Colourway Nutrient Nourishing Keratin Conditioner for normal/dry hair have worked incredibly well for me.  They feel quite thick and creamy in the hair, the shampoo more so than the conditioner surprisingly, and the result is that they’re nourishing without weighing my hair down or making it become greasy quickly.  Whether I blow dry my hair or leave it to dry naturally, my hair looks smoother and has a healthy sheen to it when I use this duo and it feels incredibly soft.

Colourway Shampoo, Conditioner and OIl

The Colourway shampoo and conditioner are designed to maintain and enhance your colour, rather than to strip it and I definitely think that they have helped me to retain my colour and tone for longer as my colour has still looks so ash blonde, despite being overdue having it done.

They’re available as a travel duo as well as the full size bottles that I have, which is a great way to be able to try them out before committing to the full size, as well as being a great backup from when you’re away from home.  That’s the only thing about pump bottles; they’re ideal for in your shower but I don’t find them as easy to travel with so these squeezy tubes are much better for when you’re on the move.

What I love about this shampoo and conditioner is that they’re ideal for both women and men to use.  All too often are products formulated, packaged and marketed specifically towards one gender whereas these products are for all.  The bottles look sleek and stylish and I love the gorgeous scent that the shampoo and conditioner has.

Macadamia Oil

The Colourway Renewing Macadamia Oil is the perfect product to run through my hair straight after the shower when I’ve just towel dried it as it helps to smooth my locks when blowdrying and tame frizz.  Its also a product I’ve loved running through the mid-lengths and ends of my hair when it is dry to add hydration and a healthy sheen.

It isn’t too think so a small pump of the oil goes a long way.

Colourway Hair Oil

The texture of the Renewing Macadamia Oil is gorgeous as it feels so nourishing but its so lightweight and literally disappears as you smooth it into the hair.  This is great because it doesn’t overload the hair or make it really greasy.  I tend to apply it first thing on a morning after styling my hair and the night before I’m going to wash my hair, I’ll add a little extra and plait my hair before bed to really let the oil infuse.

Colourway hair oil review

The great thing I’ve found about all of the Colourway products is that they’re incredibly nourishing yet they’re lightweight and not overly thick in texture so they apply and wash out easily, where applicable.  They’ve been great at nourishing my hair from root to tip and I do feel as though my hair is looking and feeling in great condition- and my extensions are too!

Colourway hair care products

Colourway haircare products are available to buy on Amazon HERE but they’ve proven to be so popular that some of the products have sold out and are awaiting restock.  Make sure you keep checking back onto the site as these really are products that you’ll not want to miss out on!

Happy great hair days lovelies!

This sounds like a really great product, I have to admit my hair is a total mess at the moment and I really should think about it having a good pamper at the hairdressers when they open and then using some good products long term.

I too have coloured hair, and find it difficult to find a shampoo and conditioner that works as I want it too. I have not heard of colour way before. I will have to give it a try

Sounds like you got on really well with these, which is fantastic! I think suitable hair care products can be really diffcult to find. These sounds great, I like that theyre full of keratin!

I have never heard of this brand before. But the packaging really reminds me of Toni and Guy products
