Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner Review

When the Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner landed on my doorstep, I was really looking forward to trying it out.

This range is designed to help to create lots of volume, body and bounce in the hair which is something that my super fine hair definitely needs!

There is a shampoo and a conditioner, both of which are incredibly affordable as they’re available from Poundland in the UK.  While I’m not someone who is too concerned with spending a fortune on my haircare, I do have certain brands that I tend to have as my go-to brands so trying something on the very budget end of the scale interests me as if I can save some money then I’d like to!

Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Both the shampoo and conditioner contain a Pro Vitamin B5 complex to strengthen the hair, wheat protein to help with thickness and moisture retention and sea salt to add thickness and texture to the hair.  When I read about the latter, I did think that it reminded me of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner in the way that it is supposed to add texture to the hair.  While I haven’t tried that duo, it is on my list to try and it would be interesting to see how they compare!

I found that the Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo lathered up incredibly well and made my hair feel huge as I was washing it.  My hair did feel very clean after use, particularly on my scalp where I tend to have lots of product build up as I use dry shampoo and hairspray a lot.

The conditioner was thicker in texture and while I do think that it worked well alongside the shampoo, I wouldn’t say that it did anything particularly spectacular to my hair.

Since I have oily roots and dry ends, I thought that this duo would effectively cleanse my scalp which it did do but I also thought that it would moisturise my ends while providing volume in my hair.  I don’t think that the conditioner added any moisture to my hair but after blow drying, the two products together did seem to add texture to my hair.  I think that this was because it dried it out slightly which helps to give it more texture than it usually has when it is freshly washed and dried.  Usually my hair is quite slippy after I’ve washed it but this helped it to have more texture which is great if you’re then going on to style the hair and pin it up.

This isn’t a duo that I’d use every time that I wash my hair as I am concerned about drying out the ends too much but it is definitely a shampoo and conditioner that I’d use on my hair before a night out where I’m pinning it up and need some extra texture in it.

I love the look of these shampoos because my hair tends to get greasy really quickly – I have such limp straight hair so anything that can help me out with a boost of volume is good in my books!Lottie

I love learning about the UK and European brands from you! Unfortunately, I haven't been to the UK in a number of years, but next trip I need to visit Poundland – it sounds like I could do some serious shopping damage there!

I have to admit it would never think to look at cosmetics in Poundland but maybe I should have a look next time I am in town. These duo does look interesting.

I tried this product duo as I am on a tight budget atm ….I used them both after colouring my hair recently and when I went for a trim my hairdresser commented on how thick my hair looked….I got both products for 69p each so total bargain…..
