My favourite thing about this time of the year is the daylight. While it can prove a little difficult to take photos in when the sun is low and bright, having days that are lighter for longer certainly make me smile.
When the sun is out, I feel more of a zest for life. I have a get up and go that gets up and goes during the cold winter months and to have it back come the springtime is invigorating.
These outfit photos were taken on one of the first truly sunny days up here and I remember feeling so confident in it.
On days like this, I love nothing more than popping on my new Guess Sunglasses from Sunglasses Shopwhich I’ll be reviewing later in the week.
I wanted to keep my outfit plain black with a pop of tan. This kind of style really reminds me of the Kardashians. Its chic, sophisticated and really put together, which is the look that I’m going for at the moment.
I paired my plus size black cami with the Ponte and PU leggings that I reviewed in this post. I’m pleased to let you know that they’ve been restocked online here but if you like them then I’d snap them up quick as they’re going out of stock fast. I’ve just ordered another pair so that I have one to wear while the other is in the wash… I love them that much.
The piece that really pulls this outfit together for me is the Tan Suedette Waterfall Jacket. This is a garment that I never would have thought I’d have worn until I tried it on in store, totally on a whim. I was looking for the sleek style that I had in mind and thought that tan and black are a pretty classic look, definitely something that was worth giving a go.
From the moment that I put it on, I knew I had to buy it. I wasn’t even sure if I suited this tan shade but I just felt so great in the jacket and felt really confident in the look that I had envisioned for it that there was no way I was leaving the shop without it.
The waterfall style of this tan jacket is really flattering and I’ve worn it so many times in the short time that I’ve had it because I can just throw it on with an all black outfit and I know that it’ll look immediately chic and flattering. It is true to size and fits very comfortably.
The jacket is very lightweight and thin yet the suedette material does feel soft touch and provides some warmth. This same jacket is also available in black and mink, the latter of which I definitely have my eye on purchasing as its more of a cool toned colour, at least from what I’ve seen online.
I added my Emilio Luca shoes from Brantano, also in tan, and carried my Lulu Guinness lips clutch with me to complete my outfit. This is a look that I’ve been wearing a lot recently as it can take me from day to night with ease and looks great whether I’m going for drinks with the girls, for supper with my man or popping to a meeting through the day.
