ghd Total Volume Foam Review

When it comes to doing my hair for a night out, it is no secret that I love nothing more than big, voluminous locks.  ghd must know me well as they have kindly gifted me one of their styling products to review for you all.  I’ve been trying out their Total Volume Foam over the last couple of weeks and I’ve loved the results.

The ghd Style Total Volume Foam is a light weight hair styling foam that makes hair look full and volumised after use.

It is very easy to use- I simply dispense two pumps worth of product into the palm of my hand and then work through my towel dried hair starting at the roots at the crown of my head.  The foam doesn’t feel sticky or tacky and it doesn’t leave an awful residue on my hands after use.  After round brushing my hair, I did notice that my hair was left with more volume than it would usually have after giving it a blow dry but more importantly, it held the volume in place for a little longer than usual without having to add any additional products.  It leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth, not crispy in the slightest like other mousse/foam style products have.  The ghd Total Volume Foam smells awesome and contains the ghd Heat Protection System which means that I can use this through my hair and blow dry straight away without adding an additional heat protection product.  This is great news for me as the few products I have to use the better.

Here I am with the ghd Total Volume Foam in my hair, to see this outfit post, click here.

Whilst I’ve used this to give me some volume when creating big, loose sexy curls, ghd have got an awesome section on their site that gives some really good step by step pointers on how to achieve the latest hairstyles using some of their products so I’m going to give some of them a go using the Total Volume Foam and some other products that I have.

I absolutely love the packaging.  It comes in a matte black bottle, with metallic purple detailing on the base of the pump and a gold and purple label.  It looks really glam on my dressing table.  The outer packaging is a box with a similar design as the label, making this a great option as a gift for someone.  Sometimes if I can’t find a gift set suited to one of my friends then I put together my own using some selective products.  This would be great popped in a gift bag with some other products.

The ghd Total Volume Foam retails for £14.95 for a 200ml bottle and is available direct from the ghd website along with their other hair products.  They offer free delivery too.  I think its a fair price as it is what I would expect to pay for a hair product and it is good value for money for a good quality product.  Since I only use two or three pumps in my hair, this will last a good while!
