Today, Issey Miyake have released a new edition to the L’Eau D’Issey line, Pure Nectar.
A refined, pure and generous fragrance, this is without a doubt, my favourite Issey Miyake fragrance yet. With a top note of honey pear, a heart of sweet rose and a base of creamy sandalwood, ambergris and signature cashmeran, from the nose of perfumers Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal, this release is perfect for early spring.
It still has the sparkling aquatic floral air to it that some of the other fragrances from the range have but this one is sweeter. Its freshness is in keeping with the original L’Eau D’Issey Pure EDP but it has added sweetness derived from nature, flowers and fruits. Its a grown up, classy sweetness though, not a sickly sweet scent and I think it will bridge the gap between those who love fresh scents and those who are indifferent to them.
As with the other Issey Miyake fragrances, Pure Nectar is ideal for daytime wear for me. It is very inoffensive and one that has those around me perplexed, wondering what it is. Issey Miyake scents are always distinctive but this one is even more so.
Pure Nectar is fresh yet elegant and feminine, not to mention absolutely beautiful and one that I’m going to thoroughly enjoy wearing this spring and summer, especially when I’m out at work on long days as its long lasting on my skin, particularly so for more of a fresh fragrance.
The L’Eau D’Issey line is inspired by a suspended moment which is reflected in the liquid droplet shaped bottle. For this new release, the metallic copper packaging resembles a drop of nectar with the fragrance alluding to the suspended moment a petal blooms into a flower, producing a generous drop of rose nectar.
