Hot on the heels of the first Missguided perfume launch, Babe Power, which became the fastest selling fragrance of 2017, Missguided have released three new fragrances this summer; Babe Dreams, Babe Oud and Boss Babe.
The anticipation and excitement surrounding this launch was REAL. So many girls couldn’t wait to get their hands on them to see how they’d compare to Babe Power, which is made up of notes of grapefruit zest and sour cherry, sharpened with crisp apple and pink pepper. By comparison, the three newer perfumes are a mixture of fruity and oud scents which leads me to believe that Missguided are really making moves in the fragrance world and creating a range of scents where there is something for everyone. Hooray!
While I am yet to try the original, I have been giving the three new fragrances a try since August and I can’t wait to spill the beans on them, starting with the pink beauty, Babe Dreams.
Of the three newbies, Babe Dreams is definitely the sweetest to my nose. You couldn’t get much more of a girlie, feminine scent. One for those of us who love day dreaming about our hopes and dreams for the future.
The new Missguided perfume, Babe Dreams is a sweet floral chypre scent with a patchouli, rich amber and vanilla base that gives it some warmth and depth. An infusion of velvety rose combined with orris and violet make up the heart, complimented by top notes of bergamot, pink pepper and red fruity accords.
If powdery, fruity florals are your thing, then I think you’ll love Babe Dreams. Its relatively long lasting and throws off a great amount of scent. I like perfumes that are powerful and this one is quite a bit stronger than I was expecting. Its a daytime scent for me as something darker and mysterious like Babe Oud is more of what I would wear at night but for daytime drinks with my friends, shopping at the weekend and for day dates with bae, this perfume is perfect.
The Missguided perfumes have really impressed me so far. In all honesty, I was expecting them to feel like a generic celebrity style fragrance but they’re not at all. Everything from the scent to the packaging is really well thought out and right up there with the popular fragrance brands; perfume is here to stay for Missguided.
One of my favourite aspects of these scents is how they are packaged. The can like design is unusual to say the least and the pink of Babe Dreams is definitely my fave. How beautiful?! Even the outer packaging is gorgeous; Missguided have really left no stone unturned with this launch and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to you.
I’ll have my reviews of Babe Oud and Boss Babe up soon too so check back for those; I’m still undecided as to which is my favourite of the three as they’re all so individual and gorgeous in their own right!
The fragrances aren’t the only thing about Missguided that I’m excited about. Remember when I featured some of their plus size clothing on my blog a few years ago? Well they’ve really revamped their range and are releasing more and more gorgeous plus size clothes onto their site from this Autumn. I went along to a press breakfast as part of The Curve Fashion Festival and got a sneak peek at whats to come and lets just say, I’m as excited about the new clothes as I am about the new fragrances. Missguided are really making moves right now and I can’t wait to see what else they have to bring to the table!
For now, do your nose a favour and pick up a bottle of this beauty. Babe Dreams is available from Missguided, Boots, Superdrug and The Fragrance Shop and I think you’ll be really surprised by the price point, especially for 80ml of fragrance.
Check it out babes and let me know what you think!
