|Ciate Paint Pots nail polish in Cabaret, £9.99|
This is the first Ciate Paint Pot that I’ve used and I must say, I’m very impressed. I usually wear pastel and nude shades on my nails so wearing a berry wine colour is quite a shock for me! The design of the brush makes it really easy to apply the nail polish as it has a long handle and a big bristle brush which is very easy to work with, unlike the MeMeMe Maxi Brush which I cannot stand as it always results in a messy application! It only needs two coats for a creamy opaque colour and the application is smooth and even. I really like the formula of this nail polish. Drying time is fairly quick, not almost instant like Models Own but certainly not like watching paint dry like Eyeko! Cabaret remained completely chip free for four days and after the sixth day of wear before I took it off, I noticed that there was some wear on the tips but nothing that wasn’t wearable.
This nail polish came in a Glossy Box many moons ago but I only started using it in the last couple of weeks. Whilst I’m not that keen on the colour, I was really impressed with the quality of the polish and would definitely consider buying more from Ciate; they have some gorgeous pastels for Spring 2012. At £9, it is in the middle of the price range between my two favourite nail polish brands; Models Own and OPI and I do think that the quality is comparable to the high standards set by these two brands, particularly OPI.
