I wouldn’t really say that I was a person who wore the monochrome look a lot but for some reason this summer, I have really loved the look of black and white together. It looks so chic and put together.
However knowing me, I can never wear just black and white together as I always like to pair a pop of colour with it somehow. In this post, I decided to bring out one of my favourite casual bags, the Alexander Wang Rockie.
The coral, or soft peach, of the Rockie looks so fab against the monochrome, especially as I’ve painted my toes and fingernails with the Models Own Beach Bag nail polish which is one of my faves as its designed to make you look more tanned than you are. I added a touch of coral with some of my accessories too including layering bracelets and some large heart stud earrings that I picked up on holiday.
Aside from the pop of pale coral, I’ve kept things pretty monochrome with my black swing vest and shrug (this ones similar as the one that I have is from Evans but its super old). These are basics that go with more or less everything!
The black and white floral trousers that I’m wearing have been my most worn and favourite item of 2015 so far. I got these months and months ago and have worn them countless times since. They’ve been so handy for smart days and nights out. I’d highly recommend them or some like them (heads up, Yours Clothing have SO many, just search ‘floral trousers’ on their site).
Finally, my shoes are my gorgeous white sandals from River Island that I blogged about here. They’re sold out completely now but I’ve listed a couple of similar ones before. I’m totally lusting after both of them but especially the jewelled ones. How beautiful please?!
