Self care is so important as it gives you that vital time to chill out, connect with yourself and have a bit of a pamper. I have found self care to be crucial to helping you to feel better about yourself from the inside out and to build your body confidence. When you spend time making yourself look extra good, you can feel that way too.
Once a week, I have a proper pamper night where I apply a face and hair mask, shave, scrub and moisturise myself from head to toe. I can make the routine as quick or as lengthy as I like but when I’m done, I always feel so much more relaxed and beautified!
One of my favourite brands on the highstreet for a pamper night is Soap & Glory, which are available to buy from Boots. I have been using their products since the dawn of time so as you can imagine, I have my favourites. Their shower gel, body scrubs and body butters are nothing short of AMAZING and my favourite scents are the Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub and the Sugar Crush range but I know that the original scent is hugely popular too.
Soap & Glory actually sent me some press samples of their Flake Away Scrub and The Righteous Butter which I’ve bought so many times myself over the years and know that they do an amazing job at getting rid of dead skin, smoothing everything over and deeply nourishing the skin. However they also sent over a tube of their Heel Genius foot cream which I had never tried before and let’s just say, I’m blown away.
Let me share my thoughts with you on these 3 Soap & Glory Icons…
SOAP & GLORY FLAKE AWAY
If you want an intense body scrubs that’s going to slough away dead skin like no ones business then you need to get your hands on the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish. With shea butter and sweet almond oil to nourish and apricot seed powder, sea salt and sugar to polish, this scrub works wonders at perfecting even the scaliest of skins.
SOAP & GLORY THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER
The perfect post shower follow up to Flake Away is Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter. Intensely nourishing with softening shea butter, rosehip seed oil and aloe vera, this moisturiser is a really decadent way to hydrate and soften the skin. It has Soap and Glory’s signature scent of leafy greens, bergamot, mandarin with floral and fruity middle notes and a sexy base of musk, oak moss, amber and woody notes which I must admit isn’t my favourite scent but the body butter works so incredibly well and really keeps the dry skin on my body moisturised.
SOAP & GLORY HEEL GENIUS
Another hydrating super product is the Soap & Glory Heel Genius. I’ve been using it since August now and have to say that it really is giving my fave Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream a run for its money. Deeply nourishing with overnight results, it really does leave my feet looking and feeling so much softer. I suffer really badly with hard, dead skin on my feet and while it doesn’t take that away, if I apply the cream thickly and pop some socks on over night or while I’m sat on the computer for a few hours, the skin really softens up nicely & is left feeling more supple.
The scent of these Soap and Glory isn’t my fave of theirs but they work amazingly well which is the main thing. I couldn’t be without Soap and Glory products in my bathroom that’s for sure and I would really recommend them to anyone. They’re affordable, especially as they’re often on 3 for 2, but feel really luxurious.
You can shop the Soap and Glory range in store and online at Boots. At the time of writing, they’re currently offering 3 for 2 on indulgent bathing here, of which these are included!
