If you’ve visited the Selfridges Exchange Square store in Manchester recently then you may have noticed that their women’s floor has been undergoing a significant transformation and let me tell you, its drool worthy.
Earlier this year, Selfridges launched two new boutiques at the department store. These were Céline and Balenciaga and now they have unveiled what is undoubtedly the most exciting part of the £3 million transformation, the shoe department.
The new shoe department has brought some new brands to the Manchester store including Aquazzura, Givenchy, Pedro Garcia and Victoria Beckham. These luxury brands join a vast selection of the world’s leading designer shoe brands and international fashion houses. Think Charlotte Olympia, Gucci, Isabel Marant, Prada, Saint Laurent, Sophia Webster and many many more. In total, there are 990 different choices of shoes across 30 brands which is pretty amazing stuff.
As soon as I saw the images of the new floor, my eyes were out on stalks. Out of all of the Selfridges, the Exchange Square store has to be my favourite and the one that I visit most regularly. Whenever I invest in my favourite designer pieces, this is the department store that I go to over all others because the layout is fabulous, everything is set out really well with so much choice and the staff are incredibly helpful and they are not pretentious or unapproachable in the slightest.
When I have lusted after and decided to purchase a designer item, I want buying it to be an experience. I want to feel comfortable asking lots of questions and trying on different styles before I make my commitment to purchasing that item and the staff at the Exchange Square Selfridges make buying a dream as they’re so easy to work with to find your perfect item. I can’t wait until I’m next in Manchester so that I can go and have a look around the womenswear department when it is completely finished in July.
The new womenswear layout also includes new boutiques from Givenchy, Valentino and Jimmy Choo as well as an exclusive ‘World of Louboutin’ boutique that includes both men’s and women’s fashion as well as shoes and beauty.
The shoe area is the largest in the country outside of Selfridges in Oxford Street, London and is sure to attract shoeaholics from miles around. I’m currently saving up for some Valentino Rockstud Flats and when I’ve got enough I’ll definitely be heading to this store to make my purchase. There’s just something special about it and that’s all part of the shopping experience.
Selfridges have even given their in-store personal shopping service a dramatic makeover with a new, dedicated luxurious space that will house VIP events and other exclusive activity which is pretty exciting for a luxury lover like me.
It is fabulous to see that the Selfridges luxury department store brand have invested and demonstrated so much commitment to retail and fashion outside of London. There is such a strong focus on offering the best brands in the world alongside the best in-store experience possible and I can’t wait for it to be completed!
