The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

For my final present post, I’m bringing you the Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide.  Featuring my pick of the gifts out there.  I hope that this provides you with some inspiration for what to buy this Christmas- very female focused.

LYDC London Bags

This Christmas, one thing that I think many a girl would LOVE to unwrap is a bag from LYDC London who sell a vast array of handbags from weekend holdalls and cross body bags to satchels and clutches, many of which are celebrity inspired.  The bag I have here is the Acton in Nude (£35) and I’m in love.  It is also available in Red, Khaki and Black which are all pretty stylish options but the nude is my favourite as it literally goes with all of my outfits.

The Acton Bag is primarily a shoulder bag but it still looks great work over the arm or simply carried by the handles that are a combination of gold chain and leather look PU at the top of the tablets, making it really comfortable to carry.  It is really great quality and feels substantial and robust, being made from leather look PU.  The bag has a quilted effect and has been stitched to create a chevron design.  The front of the bag also has a pretty big pocket that I like to keep my lippy in.  Inside the bag, there is a large zipped pocket, one large pouch and one mobile phone pouch and the bag is fully lined with LYDC branded fabric which is a lovely touch.  It is super spacious too- I have no problem fitting in a book, my purse, phone and other essentials.  The bag even comes with its own dust bag, giving the look of a high end bag at a fraction of the price.  I couldn’t recommend LYDC more!

Pandora Unicorn Charm

Pandora Unicorn Charm*

I don’t know a single girl who doesn’t have a Pandora bracelet.  They’re absolutely gorgeous and a fail safe gift when it comes to Christmas presents as there are such a wide range of charms available for lots of different budgets.  My top pick is the Unicorn charm from the Pandora Autumn Winter 2013 collection.  The charm is made of solid silver and the unicorn has a 14ct gold horn.  It is one of the charms that dangle from the bracelet, very securely, and it looks beautiful on my bracelet.

If you’re looking to give the gift of Pandora this year then the only certified retailer I would recommend would be John Greed Jewellery who I have been purchasing Pandora charms from for years.  Each charm and bracelet comes in the official Pandora packaging and right now they have a Pandora Free Official Gift with Purchase until stocks last.

Costume Jewellery

Papa East Jewellery*

Costume jewellery is a good option for Christmas gifts in my opinion as it suits a wide range of budgets and there are so many styles available.  The bracelet, necklace and ring above are all from a website called Papa East and as you can see each piece is quite a different style.  These were sent to me a couple of months ago and I wanted to keep them aside for my gift guide to demonstrate the different styles out there.  My personal favourite is the Love necklace, this is something that I would wear myself as it is quite a simple piece but eye catching and I think it would look great under a collar.  Papa East is a very affordable brand and they have lots of statement pieces available from edgy spike rings to pieces that are more vintage in style.

My favourite places to buy costume jewellery from are River Island, House of Fraser and Next

Kiko Colour Evolution Must Have Face Palette

Kiko Colour Evolution Must Have Face Palette*

The Kiko Colour Evolution Must Have Face Palette would make a great gift for a beauty loving girl.  It has a huge bronzer and highlighter along with four gorgeous blushers that you can create lots of different face looks with.  The palette itself has a modern white and silver design with a huge mirror inside.  The packaging and whole product is really solid, so it feels very substantial on its own as a gift.  I have a review of this coming up so check back for swatches.

Head on over to the Kiko website to scoop up this limited edition baby!

Too Faced Jingle All The Way Palette

Too Faced Jingle All The Way Palette*

The Too Faced Jingle All The Way Palette would be a fabulous gift for a girl this Christmas.  Combining a gorgeous iPhone 5 case with a make up palette containing 11 eyeshadows, 1 bronzer and 1 blusher this is one palette you don’t want to miss this Christmas.

For only £20 and available from Debenhams, ASOS, Beauty Bay and Boots, I think this is a really affordable palette that any make up savvy, iPhone loving girl will love.  I have a review of this coming up in December where I show swatches of all of the shades so keep an eye out on Twitter for that.

Tactus MagnaTuff iPad Case

Tactus iPad Case*

There is only one thing that technology fans love more than their devices and that’s the cases to keep them in.  Tactus sell a variety of cases for tablets and phones as well as screen protectors, headphones and speakers.  Tactus sent the MagnaTuff Schmoov iPad Case to me earlier and it has been a godsend to me.  I don’t have a TV in my room but this case enables my iPad to stand up so that I can lie in bed and watch Netflix on it.

The case is super stylish, it’s even been personalised with my blog name which would make it an ideal Christmas gift, smart and durable.  It withstands impact well and has a soft inner lining that protects the screen.  It also has a built in auto shut-off magnet that helps to conserve the battery life of the iPad.  You can pick one up in either black like I have, or white, for £34.99 here.

Luxury Chocolate

Hotel Chocolat Dipping Adventure

When it comes to choosing a luxury chocolate gift for a chocolate lover then I’d really recommend Hotel Chocolat as a place to shop.  The Mini Chocolate Dipping Adventure For Two is a great gift to give a couple and Mr WLL and I have bought several of these for our friends this year.  The box comes with two pots of chocolate that you warm up in the microwave to melt- one milk and one white chocolate, and lots of little bits to dip in like marshmallows and biscuits.  There’s some tongs in the box too so that you can dip the bits in without getting your fingers full of chocolate… although I can think of worse things!  Granted, the shop is a little pricey but I would really suggest that the gifts speak for themselves.

Weleda Christmas Cracker

Weleda Christmas Cracker*

If you saw my Stocking Filler Gift Guide then you may have seen another one of these crackers hiding in my tree.  This one is the Pomegranate Hand Cream from Weleda which makes another great gift alongside other items, as a stocking filler or as a Secret Santa present as they are only £3.50.  This one contains a mini size of the super moisturising Pomegranate Hand Cream that really deeply nourishes your hands, keeping them soft and smooth during the cold months.

Magnitone Pulsar

Magnitone Pulsar*

For those in your life who love skincare and technology then I think that the Magnitone Pulsar looks as though it would be a fabulous gift.

The Magnitone Pulsar is a daily skin cleansing and toning system for use on both the face and the body to effectively cleanse, refresh and stimulate the skin and helping to give it a naturally youthful glow.  You may have heard of the Clarisonic and the Rio Sonicleanse and this is similar in theory but it appears to offer so much more.  In the box you receive a 4 Speed Magnitone Pulsar Brush, an Active Clean Brush Head, a Body Cleanse Brush Head, a Magnetic Rechargeable Stand Unit with a 3-pin UK Charge Adapter and full usage instructions so the person you give it to will be able to easily see how to use it.

I’ll be reviewing it on my blog once I’ve had a chance to give it a thorough road test but judging by my first impressions, I would definitely recommend it.  I wanted to let you know about it early as it would make a great Christmas gift and is currently on offer.  It usually retails for £129.99 but at the moment you can buy it from HQ HairBoots, Look Fantastic, The Hut and Amazon for around the £60 mark.

Orla Kiely Mini Scented Candle and Reed Diffuser Set

Orla Kiely Mini Candle and Reed Diffuser Set*

Every year, Orla Kiely release some fabulous Christmas gift sets.  This one is the Geranium and Myrrh Mini Scented Candle and Reed Diffuser Set that would make the perfect gift for anyone who likes their bedroom, or home to smell great.  The scent of this set is one that I think the majority of people would like.  It is rich and aromatic, blending notes of earthy geranium with opulent myrrh to create a really comforting and warming scent that is perfect for the winter time.

This also makes a wonderful gift because it is packaged really well in a vintage orange and cream patterned box that the person you’ve given it to could keep afterwards to store make up in.

Buy here for only £22.95.

Xen-Tan Christmas Gift Sets

Images taken directly from Xen-Tan

Xen-Tan have some excellent gift sets on offer for Christmas this year.  I received one under my tree last year and was so impressed with it- this year they’re even better.  The Head To Toe Tanning Trios (£34.99 each) contain everything you need to achieve a head turning sun kissed glow this winter.  Xen-Tan false tan is famous for providing a gorgeous, natural olive colour that is loved by celebrities, used daily by make up artists and raved about by bloggers.

Each set contains a tanning mitt for a flawless application and Xen-Tan’s signature peppermint body scrub to slough away dead skin cells and to ensure the tan fades evenly.  Then there are three sets to choose from, depending on the type of tan you would like to apply.

The first is the Gradual Perfection set which includes the Transform Luxe gradual tanner, loved by Holly Willoughby.  It is packed full of moisturisers to leave the skin feeling nourished and it smells of vanilla.

The second set is for those who like their tan a little darker with the Glamorous Goddess set that contains the multi-award winning Luminous Gold tanning gel which is a clear tanning gel that gives an instant golden sheen that develops after 3 hours into a rich golden colour.  It has a fast drying formula that still leaves the skin feeling moisturised and with a hint of a gentle sparkle that is perfect for a New Years Eve night out.

The third gift set is for those who, like me, like their tan to be deep and dark with the Dark Delight set.  Containing Xen-Tan’s super hydrating Moroccan Tan that is formulated with argan oil and produces a deep dark colour with a tropical coconut scent.  This one is my favourite.  I have a full review of this tan coming up very shortly on my blog so I do hope you’ll check back to read it!

The Xen-Tan gift sets are available direct from their website where you get a free deluxe sample with every order, on Feel Unique and from selected Saks Hair and Beauty and salons nationwide.

Balance Me Super Spa Duo

Balance Me Super Spa Duo*

Earlier this year I blogged about the Super Toning Body Cream from Balance Me.  You can read my full review here but in short, I absolutely loved it and it was probably the first product I’d used up fully before reviewing it.  It smells incredible, feels decadent and makes my skin feel AMAZING so when I saw that there was a Christmas gift set version, I couldn’t wait to try it.

The Super Spa Duo includes a 100ml Super Toning Body Wash to naturally cleanse and smooth your skin while you shower and a 30ml Super Toning Body Cream to tone, plump and smooth the skin with the hyaluronic acid that it contains.  I’ll be reviewing both of these together after Christmas as I’ve just started trying them out now but so far so good- I love them and would definitely recommend them as a gift.  Especially because it feels really substantial, is packaged smartly and it is only £12 from the Balance Me website, Look Fantastic and Debenhams.

Happy Shopping!

Great ideas, Laura! A nice mix of classics and more unexpected selections. That chocolate shop sounds amazing, and what a fun gift! It's like a date in a box. That, a movie, and a bottle of champagne would be an amazing night-in gift. I agree that costume jewelry is a great pick because the pieces are affordable but often have tons of personality. And those bags are priced so well! Thanks for the tips. Hope you're having a happy holiday season!Liz
