When it comes to buying gifts for men, I find that people usually fall into one of two camps; those that find it easy and those who find it really difficult to find presents for boys.
Regardless of which team you’re in, I’m here with my annual mens Christmas gift guide packed full of ideas to help you on your way to being a successful gift giver.
Starting with fragrance. I find that aftershave/cologne are the types of gifts that most men tend to receive at Christmas and on their birthdays so they’re a fool proof gift idea.
Simply have a snoop around in their stash to see which fragrances they’re currently wearing and either opt for a bottle of a scent they’re running out of, or choose another with similar notes then you can’t go wrong! I find that Fragrance Direct are the best place to buy them from as they have lower prices than many places on the highstreet, plus they can wrap it for you and deliver it quickly.
Whenever you’re buying a fragrance, I’d always recommend buying the gift set where possible as you usually always end up with a really great deal because they come with one or two complimentry products alongside the fragrance. These are great for fragrance layering too which will help the fragrance to last longer.
Another fail safe gift idea for men is a wash bag. Whether they’re someone who travels often for work, goes on holiday a couple of times a year or just enjoys the odd weekend away with the lads, every man can use a wash bag. Even if its to just store all of their bits in at home.
A wash bag is usually an accessory that is well looked after and there are so many really great looking ones available without having to spend a lot of money or opting for expensive materials.
My top pick is the Ted Baker Clobber Bag which is available from Flamingo Gifts. It is made of a really smart, leather look fabric which actually reminds me of the shoes known as brogues in the way that it has been designed. It has two separate sections; a large zipped top section that opens like a doctors bag so you can see everything inside easily and a zipped base section with two net pouches and elasticated loops to hold bottles and alike in place. It feels really high quality and looks so smart. I’m sure many men would love it.
Gifts like this can either be gifted alone or filled with their favourite toiletries. I’m giving this to my husband this year and since we’re going on holiday in the next couple of months, I’ve filled it with toiletries for him to use while we’re away from home.
The last gift suggestion that I have to show you is a watch. This is the Dover Ebony and Rosewood Watch from Jord Wood Watches which you can read a full review on here. This is a really beautiful piece that gains lots of compliments thanks to its exhibition face. I’m sure many men would appreciate unwrapping it this year!
Of course there are far more gifts available for men than I have shown here. To make shopping easier for you this Christmas, I’ve scoured the internet and picked out some of my favourites below. Simply click on the image that you like to find out more about that specific item!
