Christmas is fast approaching and that means it is time for us all to crack out our Christmas jumpers in the vain hope that we’ll look a little more cute than silly over the festive period.
I’ll be wearing the same one as I did last year which you can see in the photo above as its still in great condition and I didn’t want to spend money on another jumper that I’m only going to get a short amount of wear out of. Does that make me tight? Lol I’ll definitely be buying a new one next year though!
Many of you have been asking me to share some of my favourite Christmas jumpers that are available this year so I thought I’d put together a post with my top picks of the current season.
First up is the Black and Gold Sequin Reindeer Christmas Sweat Top that I have looked lovingly at in store several times this month. The reindeer makes it look cute but the sequins give it a bit of sparkle and I love the heart shaped nose. I feel the same way about the super cute Joe Browns Robin Sweatshirt too. With the reindeer jumper being black, I’d definitely wear this to our local pub for drinks on a night with some black skinny jeans and my boots whereas I think the sequin robin jumper is better suited to day time wear only because of the grey marl colour. Its hard to dress a Christmas jumper up as it is but I think black is easier than grey.
For those who are looking for more a more subtle Christmas jumper, then the Santa I Can Explain… one is a great choice. I love the red sequin lettering against the ivory knit as while it stands out, it isn’t as bold as a statement tee with block lettering. Its cheeky and fun and a great one to wear with jeans when you’re heading out shopping this Christmas, as is the On The Naughty List jumper. Being black, I do think that this is another one you could make look a little smarter if you were wanting to wear it out for a few drinks in a local pub with your friends or to the cinema. I’m loving the cheeky statements that are out this year on jumpers like this and they make a great alternative to the Christmas jumpers with characters on. Plus, as they’re a relatively lightweight knit, they make a great layering piece.
We all know that its thin, light layers that keep you warmest. I’ve just bought this thermal vest and these ones from M&S ready for my trip to Poland and they’re all absolutely gorgeous, I’d highly recommend them as they’re a great fit and very warming. As a side note, I ordered these thermal vests from Simply Be first and they were a terrible fit as they were so incredibly short I may as well have been wearing a crop top. However their plus size thermal leggings were very good, roomy and long, so I have kept four pairs of them which should see me through my 6 day trip.
Finally, I thought I’d include a piece that isn’t necessarily going to keep you warm but it is certainly fun and thats the Son of a Nutcracker t shirt which is ideal for Elf fans either to give as a gift or to buy themselves. It is also available from the standard size line here. I love the sequin sleeves and the bold picture on the front. It will definitely catch the eye of Christmas film lovers all over!
All of the pictures above are clickable so you can head on over to the different websites to check sizing and additional info if you so wish but I hope that helps those of you that wanted to know what my faves are.
