Campervanning allows you to hit the open road and explore all the UK has to offer. But contrary to popular opinion, this doesn’t mean you have to cook all meals onboard.

As you’ll see below, there are many van-friendly eateries all over the UK to explore.

Stanwix Park Holiday Centre

Located on Cumbria’s Solway coast, Stanwix Park provides campervanners with stunning sunsets over the Solway Firth and is only a few minute’s drive from Silloth town.

Campervanners love it because it offers fun, relaxation, and excitement all in a single place. It’s basically everything you and your family need to have a memorable holiday.

Important features worth noting include:

• Close to the beach

• Open all year round except on Dec 25th and 26th

• Adult-only areas available

Hawthorn Farm (Dover)

The Hawthorn Farm Holiday Park in Dover is set on 28 acres of lavish, expertly landscaped lands and is only a few miles from the Dover Port.

The park has an ANPR barrier system allowing for secure arrival and departure outside of regular office hours, and it currently has 200 touring pitches. Of these, 15 are hard-standings.

You can find this park between the towns of Dover and Deal, and it has tons of amenities on offer, some of which include:

• Laundry facilities

• Onsite shop

• Café and takeaway

The Motorhome and Caravan Show

The Motorhome and Caravan Show is by far the biggest leisure vehicle show in the UK. In 2024, the show is set to take place at the NEC in Birmingham.

Campervanners have used this show for years to explore the largest displays of motorhomes, caravans, and campervans available in the UK.

Apart from stepping inside some of the most luxurious campervans on the market today, you can also use the compare campervan insurance guide, a renowned and trustworthy portal for insurance-related information, to compare rates based on your preferred model.

The NEC offers a tasty selection of eateries, all filled with your favourite culinary delights. Whether looking for a light lunch, drinks, or breakfast, you can’t lack something good to eat.

Waldegraves Holiday Park

Are you looking to take a break from city life? A visit to The Waldegraves Holiday Park in Mersea Island may just be what you have been looking for.

The park sits on the exquisite and historic Mersea Island and has pitches for motorhomes, touring vans, tents, and even luxury holiday homes for sale and hire.

There’s so much to do at this park; you can trust that your family won’t get bored easily. It has activities to suit the entire family, including coarse fishing lakes and family games rooms.

Other items to look out for include:

• Supermarket

• Bar and restaurant

• Takeaway food

• Clubhouse and entertainment

Sykeside Camping Park, Hartsop, Cumbria

Sipping locally brewed beers while looking at the stunning views overlooking the Barn End is one of the many things that draws campervanners to Sykeside campsite in Dovedale Valley.

Considering that the bar only opens its doors on Fridays and Saturdays during the evening hours, you can expect it to have a bit of a social fever.

But all things aside, this is a chance to enjoy campervan life in a superb location while sampling superfoods in a traditional pub.
