I’m not going to lie, I’ve got a pretty fantastic haul for you today. It has a bit of everything; clothes, shoes, makeup and skincare and I hope you enjoy it! On Sunday, Mr WLL and I went to the Metro Centre for our monthly shopping spree (i.e. just after payday!) and I was on the look out for some specific products. I wanted an outfit that actually fit which sounds silly but my body has changed size quite dramatically over the last few months and I wanted something to wear on my forthcoming trip to Amsterdam that I could feel comfortable in. I went into Evans and New Look and tried on LOADS of clothes, just for the hell of it, in sizes much smaller than I used to buy. It was a very surreal experience. I also wanted to pick up a gift for my friends birthday and I needed to repurchase the Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream and MAC’s Matte Bronze. The other items just seemed to fall into my shopping basket…
Joanie Floral Gilet from New Look, £19.99
Rose gold buttons and pretty flowers, really whats not to love about this little jean jacket? When Mr WLL first saw it on the hanger he thought it was awful but once on, he agreed it is lovely. It will look lush over the coral top that I have bought and I’m also looking forward to wearing it on top of maxi dresses once this weather gets a bit better!
Coral Cut Out Racer Back Top from New Look, £12.99
I love this top, the cut out back detailing is gorgeous and it is a really flattering shape. It is perfect for summer and I can’t wait to wear it when I go on my girls weekend away. New Look are so reasonably priced and their styles are bang on at the moment. I think their Inspire range is the best on the market for plus sized women at the moment.
White Linen Trousers from Evans, £15
I have desperately needed some linen trousers that actually fit for the last month or so as I have so many tops that I want to wear before they get too big but nothing to wear them with. These were in the Evans sale reduced from £25, bargain! I was quite surprised when I was in Evans as they had lots of dresses that I’ve seen on the AX Paris website but for a higher price, tut tut Evans!
Coral Flower Sandals from Primark, £6
These gorgeous coral flower sandals will go really well with the top and jacket I got as well as with many of my other outfits. I’m a big fan of coral so I have a wardrobe full of coral clothing and accessories!
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Pressed Powder, in 2 Medium and 3 Dark, £2.99 each
Fantastic setting powder that keeps my face matte and shine free all day. I have repurchased this many times and always reach for it over my higher end products like the Estee Lauder Double Wear pressed powder. I’m going to do a full review of it soon… watch this space!
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, £4.19
This is probably my favourite concealer of all time, its certainly one of my most repurchased. Again, I’ll do a full review of it soon but this is another product that rivals the likes of Estee Lauders Double Wear range, it is very long lasting, creamy and covers everything!
Garnier BB Cream for combination to oily skin, £7.49
When the Garnier BB Cream was first launched, I received some samples in the post to try of the original one which I fully intended to purchase on this particular shopping trip, until I saw that you could get one for combination to oily skin. I opted for that one instead, I just hope it is as good as the original.
MAC Matte Bronze, £18.50
This is my favourite contour powder and one of my favourite products from MAC. It is muddy without being orange toned and does not contain any shimmer, it is perfect. Read my review on it here.
Models Own Nail Polish in Juicy Jules and Champagne from Boots, £5 each
Models Own are my favourite nail polish brand. I’ve wanted to try the silver glitter Juicy Jules for a long time and I also picked up Champagne as a gift for my friend who saw me wearing it last week and loved it. Boots have an offer on at the moment where when you buy one nail polish you get another for half price, I’m not sure how long its on for but it is definitely worth checking out.
Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream, £21
I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve repurchased this foot cream, it is absolutely amazing and if you’ve read my review on it, you’ll know exactly why I love it! The Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment cream contains cashew nut, shea butter, arnica, myrrh and tyme which work together to relieve my tired feet, hydrate my dry skin and soften my hard skin. I’ve never found a foot cream that comes close to this one and thats why I repurchase it time and time again!
Clarins Ultra-Matte Rebalancing Lotion, £24
I’m really looking forward to trying this moisturiser. It is specifically designed for those with oily skin, not combination, just oily, so I’m hoping it is exactly what I’ve been searching for to use as a daytime moisturiser. Clarins skincare is awesome, I’ve used lots of their products and I’m sure this wont disappoint. I’ll keep you all updated.
Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask with Pink Clay and the Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser, free samples
The lady on the Clarins counter in Boots popped some samples into my bag. She said that these are great for those with oily skin so I’m going to give them a go. I love that Clarins are always generous with their samples, granted the aim is to generate future business for them but I love that it allows me to try out products before committing to the full size, plus they are great for travelling.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
This is one of my favourite hand creams. It makes my skin so soft and supply and my nails feel strong and supported after continuous use of this product.
Clarins Soothing Body Scrub For a New Skin
I’m really looking forward to trying this scrub, I’m a big fan of Clarins skincare and I love exfoliaters in general so I’ve got high hopes for this. It contains bamboo powders and is designed to soften, smooth and firm… we’ll see!
Clarins Extra-Firming Body Lotion
I’ve heard so many good things about this product. It is supposed to lift, tone and smooth skin and is perfect for skin that has become slackened due to pregnancy, age and weight fluctuation. Since I am dieting at the moment and my body is changing, I thought this would be the perfect time to try this product.
No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser from Boots, £10
I adore this cleanser, it works incredibly well and my skin hasn’t looked back since I first started using it a month ago. I bought this to have as a backup for when my existing one runs out, yes I love it that much!
No7 Pore Refining Serum from Boots, £13
This product was recommended to me by a woman I work with. Like her, I have quite large pores on my face and I’m hoping this helps my skin like it did hers. It is supposed to be a great base for make-up too.
Sure Clear Diamond Deodorant, £1.63
I picked up a couple of these as they were on special offer. Nothing flash, just a deodorant that keeps my fresh all day and I can spray it freely without being worried about white marks.
What have you been buying lately? Would you like me to review any of these products?
