WhatLauraDid: Week 41

The latter part of this week has been such a culture shock.  At the beginning of the week, I was relaxing by the pool in Turkey and now I’m back in freezing cold England, not impressed!  The week has not been a total loss though as on our way back from the airport we stopped off in Leeds for a little birthday shopping in Louis Vuitton and lunch and cocktails in Harvey Nichols which was a lovely treat.  Although it has been requested on Twitter, I’ve decided not to do a birthday haul as although I enjoy reading them myself, I know a few bloggers/Youtubers who have been met with quite a lot of negative feedback from them with them being incorrectly perceived as bragging.  Whilst I’m all for constructive criticism, I really don’t want to leave myself so directly open to hate.

The posts this week have been few and far between however I’ve really enjoyed sharing them with you.  Most enjoyably my inflight beauty regime where I show you the skincare routine I used when flying to and from Turkey.  It helped my skin out so much on the flight and did it the world of good so I really help it works for you too.  I also blogged about some of the empties that I used up while on holiday.  I always take just enough product away with me to fully use up while I’m away and Turkey was no exception so I actually have another two holiday empties posts planned for the next couple of weeks.

Finally I blogged about a gorgeous ethnic print dress from Curvissa which I styled in two different way; a holiday evening look and a party look.

I hope you’ve had a great week.

I love birthday hauls but you are right, so many people are jealous and bitter about it, even though they probably get as much! Ruins it for the rest of us who are of course jealous as but dead nosy hahax
