WhatLauraWore: Animal Instinct

Happy Sunday!

I had intended to go out for the day with some friends to a big open air museum called Beamish but given that the weather is awful, I’ve decided that a day in my turquoise velour lounge wear tracksuit is a much better option *once a fashionista, always a fashionista*.  Michael and I are going to watch The Blindside this afternoon, apparently its really good and I love watching Sandra Bullock films, shes awesome.  Before I saunter off to enjoy my duvet day, I thought I would show you a recent outfit that I wore on a night out with friends, featuring my new leopard print maxi dress from Yours Clothing.

A couple of years ago, I would shy away from a print like this but I am so pleased I tried it as the leopard print is quite subtle and the whole dress is really flattering.  I sized up as my middle is larger than my top half but with most maxi dresses this means that they are too big around my chest.  Not with this one though, its really well elasticated around the bust and I find it to be a really great fit.  The only thing that I don’t like about the dress is that there are some sequins dotted around on it, but they don’t appear to be sewed on as well as I would have liked and some have come off in places.  This doesn’t take away from how beautiful the dress is and the sequins that have come off haven’t left any noticeable gaps.

Hi Kathy, this dress is quite thin and doesnt offer any support around the chest, so I would definitely recommend a structured bra. I wear a nude, under wired strapless bra from La Senza. It has some padding as well and offers great support without being visible under the dress.Laura xoxowww.whatlauralovesuk.com
