WhatLauraWore: Gemma Collins Lace Skater Dress

When it comes to date night, I love to dress up.  I look for outfits that are feminine, classy and sophisticated and this Lace Skater Dress by Gemma Collins ticks all of those boxes.

Sitting above the knee, this dress shows off your pins whilst keeping your top half relatively covered, with sheer lace for a subtle kind of sexy.  If you don’t like getting your legs out, pop some thick black tights or leggings on underneath and wear it like Gemma did on the Simply Be website.  Not a fan of your arms? This dress has got you covered with its 3/4 length sleeves that are very flattering.

WhatLauraLoves in the Gemma Collins Lace Skater Dress

The lace is black and the dress is lined in nude from the sweetheart neckline down to the knee and it has black piping to create shape and to give a structured look, without making the dress feel restrictive.  This dress is comfortable to wear whilst looking gorgeous so you can go and enjoy yourself without worrying about your outfit.  I would suggest sizing up as the dress does provide a small fit across the back.

I absolutely love this dress; when I first saw it, it really reminded me of the style of Adele.  You can buy your own direct from Simply Be where you can also see the rest of the range that Gemma Collins has created exclusively for them.  She also has her own website with exclusive pieces on which you can visit here.

A dress like this really does all of the talking, so for accessories I kept it simple, pairing it with my subtle Chanel logo earrings, Ted Baker bracelet to bring out the ivory in the dress and I carried a black and diamante clutch to add a little sparkle to the outfit.  Black peep toe heels pull the outfit together, elongate the legs and let the focus be on the dress.
