Gosh I can’t believe I have taken so long to post this plus size fashion outfit on my blog! I’d taken it back when the winter weather wasn’t so cold and then overnight the temperature just dropped and suddenly it didn’t seem appropriate any more. However I was wandering through the shops today and saw that some of the springtime fashion is already coming into stock and as this isn’t a particularly seasonal outfit, I thought now was the time to post it.
So this is the kind of outfit that I’d typically wear for smarter days; the days where I’m going to a blogging meeting or for a nice lunch with friends. It is pretty light weight so if I were to be wearing it on a day like today (sat wrapped in a blanket with the heating on full blast) then I’d add my wool coat from The White Company that has the leather sleeves. Its gorgeous, you know the one I’m talking about.
For me, this outfit is all about the accessories so I’ll start with those. My necklace is a bit of a giggle to be honest. I went to a little deli in Cleadon Village here in the North East for a jacket potato but as I trot about like the queen most days, carrying only a bank card, I couldn’t pay for my lunch unless I spent over a tenner. I didn’t want to just buy something random for the sake of it so when I spotted this silver heart necklace, I fell in love with it and added that to my total. Possibly the most expensive jacket potato I’ve ever purchased but it was worth it!
I thought my silver grey scarf from The White Company would go fabulously with the necklace as it has lots of beautiful little hearts all over it. This scarf is quite warm, despite being very light weight. It is very delicate and can click easily so I do need to be careful when wearing it, especially when I have the watch and bracelet combination on that I have here as they are particularly attracted to it!
Now onto the clothes, lets quickly skip past the black items because I feel as though I talk about them in most posts right now; my wardrobe staples- ASOS Curve swing vest and pull on jeggings and my Steve Madden studded slipper loafers which I wouldn’t recommend because the quality of them is shocking. The cardigan I am wearing is a beautiful silk lil number from Slink Boutique. It has gorgeous knitted and lace grey detailing as well as a chain print on the back that I’m showing you amazingly well in this post… not. Check it out in closer detail in this Youtube video.

Ahh all this looking at outfit pics from a couple of months ago is really making me want to die my hair darker again!! I had quite a dark (for me) colour put in at the roots for a more outgrown look and it has faded quite a lot since, with my lighter roots starting to come through and I’m now in two minds as to what I want to do with it for this year. It is such a dilemma for me as I’ve wanted to go dark in the last few years so I have been having more and more low lights put through my hair but its such a big decision!! What do you think?!
Hope you’re all well and having a good week- we’ve got over Monday so that’s the hard work outta the way ey girls!
