On the very rare occasion that I can’t quite be bothered to get dressed up to go out, I like to opt for a bold, statement piece of clothing that does the talking for me.
This was one such occasion and the plus size tartan skater dress in Green from Missguided is the piece that I picked to focus attention on with my outfit. We were heading out for a light bite with friends and so I wanted to look like I’d made a little bit of an effort but I hadn’t really. I had not been feeling very great in myself and my neck was hurting badly so I thought I’ll skip jewellery and fancy pieces and pop on a comfortable skater dress.
You might recognise this dress from my Valentine’s Day post here but I thought I’d share another outfit post with you where I’m wearing it as it has gone into the huge sale on Missguided so it may be your last chance to pick it up if you haven’t already! This is definitely one of my most worn dresses of recent months because it is so comfortable and easy to throw on with a pair of leggings.
It is that classic skater shape that I love with half length sleeves and a low scoop neck. The material has enough stretch in it to make it comfortable to wear but it still retains its shape. I love the forest green colour in the tartan, having never really been a fan of the red variety, and think that it actually looks lovely with my blonde hair… effortlessly chucked back into a quiff as you can see haha!
The shoes that I’m wearing are some that I was given on a shoot years ago however I have finally found some incredibly similar ones on the Wallis website here.
