WhatLauraWore: Taillissime Little Black Dress from OSP

Friday is finally here and I bet all of you are looking forward to the weekend.  I’m actually working all weekend so I wont be getting up to much sadly.  The clocks go forward an hour on Sunday and whilst this means that ill be in work an hour earlier than planned, I’m really looking forward to the light nights.

Tonight I thought I’d share with you my new dress; the Taillissime Short-Sleeved Knit Dress with Crossover V-Neckline available online from Castaluna.  I was recently asked if I would like to review an item from the One Stop Plus website and I chose this dress in black as I was really in need of a ‘little black dress’ for smart evenings out.  It is also available in purple, white, pink and orange, my other favourite.  The dresses are available in sizes 14 to 32 and I found that this dress ran true to the size.

TAILLISSIME Short-Sleeved Knit Dress from One Stop Plus, £45

This is the first item I have tried from Castaluna and I am very impressed with their service, from their packaging to their speed of delivery.  As soon as I received this dress I couldn’t wait to try it on.  The shape and style of this dress makes it a perfect wardrobe staple for any curvy girl as it is so flattering.  The cross over neckline is universally flattering, the wrap around belt pulls the wearer in at most women’s slimmest part and the rest of the dress loosely floats over the stomach, hips and thighs.  The dress is knee length on me; I’m an average 5ft 5″ height and I’d say that it would be roughly knee height on the majority of women.  The fabric of the dress is very good quality; it is is completely opaque (you’ll not be able to see your underwear through it!) and thick but still light weight and manages to weight down the dress, keeping it in shape without it feeling heavy.  The dress also washes very well.

TAILLISSIME Short-Sleeved Knit Dress from Castaluna, £45

Whilst I do not have a large chest for someone of my size, this dress would be perfect for a busty woman as there is a generous amount of material in the upper part of the dress and the wide cap short sleeves help to balance out the wearers proportions.  The upper part of the dress is quite roomy on me, however this isn’t a problem as the material crosses over across the bust to ensure only a classy amount of cleavage is on show!

The dress can either be styled in a couple of different ways using the attached belt which can be tied at the back or wrapped around and tied at the front in a bow, like a belt. This way is perfect for me at the moment as I can tighten it while I change shape. Wrap and cross over style dresses are perfect for those who are changing shape whether it be through losing or gaining weight, pregnancy or toning up through exercise.

I loved wearing this dress from Castaluna as it made me feel confident, glamorous and feminine.

F*ck the dress.. you looking bloody amazing!! Make-up is perfection plus you look really happy!Back to the dress.. love the fit. I am a big fan of dresses that are fit under the bust and then drop down. So comfortable (when you sit you dont have a waistband digging in anywhere) and flattering for everyone! xxx
